All to soon our time in Porto is done so we grab a train (we really enjoy rail travel) from Porto Portugal to Lisbon Portugal. After a short walk to our Selina (Selina Secret Garden Lisbon Portugal) we get a tour of the facilities from the awesome local staff then grab a walking tour map from the front desk and....go to bed. But the next day we walk the entire tour and review the map route. We also, of course, discover and amazing local pizza place!

Can't believe it's already time to leave Porto.
Now we're on our way to Lisbon.
And we're going by train.
We're just waiting for our track to be listed on the screen up there.
Porto is a definitely put on your bucket list.
They give you no time to get on the thing.
It's only like two minutes.
Proud people just...
Very nice seats.
Very comfortable.
And now to find our hostel.
We learned a 5 euro lesson.
Don't buy your tickets for the metro upstairs
because those only work on the trains, not the metros.
So we had to buy another 5 euros for the tickets to go to the metro.
But it's going to save us a 30 minute walk.
With the bags, that's good stuff.
Wow, that metro station came out deep.
Thankfully all of the down escalators were working.
Unfortunately for us, the elevator and about half of the up escalators were missing.
So I definitely got my workout.
So I guess that's a good thing.
Now we're going to go on about a 15 minute walk through Lisbon to find our hostel.
Hi.
This is my father.
She's going to show us around the Selena Secret Garden in Lisbon.
How's the room?
Oh my gosh.
Wait until you see it.
This one has the lift.
In between the Salinas, the Wi-Fi is the same so your phone hooks up automatically.
My father, thank you so much. Obrigado.
You're welcome.
And our newest subscriber.
Yes, of course.
Here's the pool.
That's cold.
We scan into our room with these little wristbands.
Not that one.
That one keeps Katie from getting train sick.
Yeah, that train was really rocky.
Oh, I have to try this chair.
Oh, wow.
That's stiff.
Not that comfortable.
Oh, this is a nice couch.
This is huge.
Did you whack your head on the door?
Hey, they have the exact same shampoo.
It's the one with all the glittery on it.
This place is pretty nice.
I actually kind of like it better than Porto.
And I'm really surprised that because I gave Porto a big 10.
And look at that view.
They have these cool maps at reception.
And we're going to do this walking path.
But first, we need to find some lunch.
Well, this place was recommended, but there's a long line, so we'll have to come back later.
This place has a gluten-free pizza, so we're going to try it.
This one's gluten-free.
The crust is crunchy.
It's smoky, really, with a little bit of fresh parsley.
This is really good.
And it was, mine was 11, I think.
11 euros.
But look how much pizza I got.
This definitely is a place that you need to try.
Let's see how the gluten-free is.
That is delicious. Winner.
We start right here and we go that way.
Over the tree and left at the gate.
And always look both ways for the train.
All the addresses are tiled into the sidewalks.
This is a marionette museum. I'm not sure if they charge.
I'm not even going to check because I really don't like dolls that much.
A world of histories and, you know, creepy dolls.
This is really cool. All of the tile and the laundry.
And I even saw a cat sitting on the balcony.
I love seeing magazine stands.
I picked this because it was called Flat Rock.
Walk. Flat Walk.
But nothing's ever really flat in Lisbon.
But the views are epic.
Hi guys!
I was looking for the Pink Birkway and we just stumbled on it.
Was it everything you hoped and dreamed it would be?
It's a lot smaller.
But I didn't know they had the umbrellas so that's cool.
It's pretty but dang it's loud.
That was not on the map.
I'm glad we took a wrong turn. That was really cool.
But now we're back on track.
Not looking good for the old mercado.
While the market's open, only the fish part's closed.
Oh bummer.
I guess the whole traditional market is closed.
We'll have to come back for that.
But we still have to check out the rest of this place.
We're here when we're not full of pizza.
Excuse me ma'am, is this seat taken?
Come on down.
You got it.
Mine's the foot.
And then I stepped on her cute little foot. Sorry.
Alright at some point we're going to have to try these.
It's almost December and it's 70 degrees outside.
Well we followed the map for most of the day and it's not very good.
Most of the stuff that we wanted to see was kind of off to one side or the other.
So we mixed the map with doing our own little private tour.
And we wound up at the main square which is gorgeous.
Well I think from now on we're just going to pick a spot and just go there and wander our way around.
It seems like we do better that way.
And we'll seek some local advice from the kids at the hostel.
Again local staff at the Salina, absolutely amazing.
And how we got here is we saw a navy ship.
We said hey let's go look at that.
Before we got to the ship we saw this.
And if we don't forget we'll see the navy ship after.
Conveniently enough I need a bathroom right now.
I wonder what the sexiest bathroom on earth looks like.
I know but you're going to find out and I'm going to sit right here.
I still don't know what the sexiest bathroom on earth looks like because there's no bathroom over there.
But they did say that across the street there's the boat station.
So we're going to go over there and find a bathroom.
But it won't be the sexiest bathroom in the world.
But it will keep me from wetting my pants so that will be pretty sexy in itself.
We don't know what kind of ship it is but it looked cool.
HMS Scott.
That's what she said.
And then there's two cruise ships over there.
But we know what those look like.
Back here after December 1st when this is all lit up.
Now we're going in search of Starbucks.
That was a beautiful walk.
You did a great job leading us all over the city.
We discovered a few things that we want to do later on in our time here.
And another video or two we want to make.
And there is a park that's supposed to have animals in it.
There it is.
Maybe only ducks.
But I'm going to find it.
If they're ducks at least they're the best animal.
We stopped by a little fruiteria on the way back.
Grabbed some fruit for dinner because after that pizza I'm still full and that was this morning.
Pizza was good.
And the Starbucks with the caramel macchiato.
That was just like dessert.
We love Starbucks.
If you don't like it, that's okay, you don't have to.
We'll keep loving it all over the world.
Anyways, we're going to head up to the room and chill for the evening.
There's our room right there.
Like the thumbs up and subscribe.
That was good.
