I have a special treat for you! I am doing a Christmas centerpiece collaboration with "Decorating with Barbara"! https://youtu.be/hQ5e2gffAAw If you are wanting to create a designer centerpiece for your table, we have got you covered! It really isn't that hard, we will walk you through this Christmas decorating project step-by-step!
The secret for me is to find a really good centerpiece base and build from there. By adding other greenery that has a different color or texture can make one of the biggest differences! The next important factor is the ribbon! I am crazy about good quality ribbon, especially wired ribbon. It will shape better and last much much longer!
The next step is adding beautiful sprigs that highlight the greenery! This is an easy tutorial, and it will have your friends and family quite impressed!!! Good luck and Happy Holidays!

I have got a special treat for you today. I am doing a collaboration with Barbara from
Decorating with Barbara, and we are going to show you a few Christmas centerpiece ideas,
so stay tuned. Before we jump into this tutorial, I want to introduce you to Barbara from Decorating
with Barbara. She has a very soft, elegant decorating style, which you'll soon see.
You have to go check her out on her channel. So for this centerpiece, I'm going to use
a candle stand. Love candles during Christmas. Now I usually choose one that I kind of already
like what's going on in it, but I love to give it a custom look. So what I'm going to begin to do is
add this greenery. You can tell the green in the centerpiece is a really dark green,
so I'm going to add this one because it's a little bit more of a sage green and a little
more natural looking. All I'm going to do with this stem is I'm just going to snip it in two pieces
and I'm going to wire it to the centerpiece, and let me tell you something really quick
about floral wire. The lower the gauge number, the thicker and harder it is to work with. My
favorite gauge number is 20. So I added two of these on the end. I'm just going to add two of
the stems on the middle. Now that I've added all of the extra greenery I want to add, and I am going
to add more sprigs, but the next step is to add the ribbon to the centerpiece and I'm going to
make a bow. Now you know how I love ribbon and I'm going to choose ribbon that has wire so that
it shapes easier and it'll last year after year. So before I start making the bow, I want to see
how long I want the tail to be because I am going to tuck it around. So I know it's going to be that
long and that's when I begin to make my bow. Now I have a video on how to make bows, but the trick
to making a good bow is keeping your loops all the same size. I made three loops on each side for this
bow and I'm going to pull this other tail and make it the same length. Now I'm going to take that floral
wire and put it in the middle and you want to twist it really really tight and then I'm just
going to attach it to my centerpiece. The beauty of having wired ribbon is how you can play it and twist
it around. So I've got that tail twisted that way and I'm going to tuck under some greenery,
come around that little candle stand and tuck under just a little bit more. Then I'm going to
pull these loops around so that I kind of have three on one side and three on the other so the
bow looks continual around that middle candlestick. Look how beautifully each loop surrounds that middle
candle stand. I love that. Now let's trim the tails. A lot of times I do them at an angle, but I'm going
to keep it symmetrical. So you fold that tail and you want to cut up and then look how beautiful.
Let's do the other side. So you fold your ribbon in half and cut from the fold side, cutting up.
Beautiful. The last thing on the centerpiece, I'm going to add these glitter berries. We've got to
have some bling in the centerpiece. I'm not going to wire these on. It's time to break out the hot glue gun.
Take off several of these and place them in the centerpiece. Last thing I need to do is add my candles.
So it really isn't very difficult to make your own custom Christmas centerpiece when you start
out with a really good base. Thank you so much for watching and thank you again to Barbara.
