Denmark vs. Tunisia, Highlights World Cup 2022, Match #1 Group D

Hello and welcome to the Education City Stadium in Doha. I'm Jackie Oatley alongside Warren Barton and we're very much looking forward to seeing the former European champions Denmark take on the former African champions Tunisia. As predicted with three at the back Pierre-Emile Roybierre of his expert defensive midfield. Tunisia will be compact in defense and they'll aim to spring forward whenever they can. It's Denmark versus Tunisia. An Arab nation at the first Arab World Cup. Very positive stuff. Happy the Leeds United player. Here comes Tunisia. Well it was an opportunity. The spark will seem very, very confident. Mark that away. Just on his heels. Not had the best of seasons. There's a chance here. Jabali went up and Jabali has been denied. He was attempting to run from his own half in which case he could not have been offside. It's the World Cup season. One of them will spin around the back. He's in towards Pierre. He comes out towards Roybierre. With that vital touch. Again doesn't trouble Dutman. Had it taken a deflection on the way through it might have done though. Worth a try. It's not cleared immediately. Was traveling. Lai Duni with it. He is so in the mood today. Here comes Tunisia. Even if the flag goes up. Schmeichel doesn't know that he's offside. What a save that is. Danny Christensen. That was Skov Olsen. Once again the interception. Real opportunity. Perhaps he just took too long trying to decide whether to lay it off for Ben Slimane or not. Massive incentive for him. Skov Olsen. The ball through to Damsgaard. He may well be offside. The goalkeeper doesn't know. And it's offside. Will be checked for sure. They had to wait to be absolutely sure. The players on the field had to play on. He did look clearly offside. Damsgaard. Port and he has it in the shape of Roybierre. It's been fantastic in this game. A crucial interception in the first half. After a wonderful Tunisian move. But his. Oh and just for a second. Here we go. Jensen. Oh nice pass. To find Eriksen. What a save. He's been stretched. Eriksen. Danger still not cleared. Eventually Tunisia bring it away. Looking to break up Schmeichel. It's just really. They haven't been able to create too much. Not enough movement up front. Whoa. Remember the save. And that was flying and moving in the air. They're getting nervy now. You know you can feel it in the air. You can feel the fans. You can see there. I mean this is a ball that's. Ideally was going to be across. He's overheated. It's going in the back of that. But I mean that's well passed. But other than that. That was disappointing. Well that's it. It's all over. Tunisia. Djalal. Hadri's side have worked so so hard. And our full value for their point. Being applauded.
