Welcome back to A Well-Purposed Woman.
Today I'm gonna answer a question from a reader on my blog
and she was wondering,
how do you make these little curlicues on fabric pumpkins?
Well, the answer is actually really simple
if you have the right tools.
So stick around and let's figure out
how to make these curlicues on fabric pumpkins.
And I actually got this off of Amazon.
You can buy something similar at craft stores,
there's a Cobby Lobby, I think it's a little thinner there.
But what you do with this floral wire
is just take a pencil or a paintbrush
and just wrap it around the pencil
until you get kind of like a spiral,
look like a notebook type of thing.
And then take the pencil out
and you'll get a little curlicue.
And it's so easy, like I mentioned, just cut it off
and then you're just gonna put it on your stem.
So you kind of can bend a little section of it
and just wrap it around the stem
and then take your hot glue and just glue underneath it
so that it sticks in place and just hold it in place.
And that's all there is to making these cute little curlicues.
On this pumpkin here,
I actually used a vintage rusty springs from baby mattress,
so you could use that.
Those are a little bit more rare or harder to find,
but I received them as a gift,
so I use those on some of my pumpkins.
The dollar store actually has this jute-covered wire,
and so you could do the same thing with that.
Just wrap it around, make a little curlicue,
and then cut it off and then wrap it around the pumpkin
and hot glue it in place.
