Stories from Skid Row - From Broken to Restored Relationships - Robert’s Story Part 2
When Robert graduated from URM, he was 67 years old. But just because he graduated from the program and was clean and sober doesn't mean that all was well. It takes time to mend relationships with people that are hurt by our past transgressions.
Watch Robert’s Story as he talks about how he went from addiction to restoration and reconciliation with his wife and family
"There's no way I could ever give the Union Rescue Mission as much as I got. When I left the mission, I had to take stock of myself and my relationship with my wife. I messed up. I really did, and it's embarrassing, especially when you've hurt people deeply. And I know the Lord forgives me, but it's hard for people to forgive people for the hurt." Robert
Yes. Robert was blessed because he had the opportunity to go home to a supportive wife. Just an incredible heart of Kimberly to welcome Robert home and give him another chance.
Robert is living out what we hope for. Every man who comes into our mission, a new life, a sober life, a good-paying job, family to surround them. And most of all, a deep relationship with Jesus Christ to weather any storm.
Because of caring supporters like you, we can continue to provide hope to those that need it most.
