Hello we are on our way to Norway
For those who don't know me I'm Martin
and this is my Jumbo a Bavaria 34 Holiday
We started two days ago in Wedel near Hamburg
They are now about 285 nautical miles in their wake
they are here on the Skakarak
The weather is fairly good it has cleared up significantly
Wind is currently around 20 knots
The swell here is quite rough sometimes rising up to three meters
Our destination today is Christiansand
These are still 65 to 70 nautical miles
I hope we will arrive there at midnight or one in the morning
We'll look at Christiansand tomorrow and
then it's a relaxed pace for the next few days
Along the southeast coast of Norway up to Oslo
This is my first time here in Norway
and I am looking forward to the turn
This year we want to sail through Scandinavia and in the process
explore the southeast of Norway and the northwest of Sweden
and also visit Denmark
In the first sailing section I sail the Jumbo One-Handed from Wedel
ear Hamburg to Oslo
where I would like to meet Anke in a week
To drive south to Copenhagen
Later it will go through the Limfjord
go back to the Netherlands
Usually we start the summer tour also in the Netherlands
where our home port of Enghausen is located
I had the Jumbo a few weeks earlier
Sailed from there to Wedel where
the underwater ship regulated
Two days ago I started in Wedel and
managed to get out of the Elbe by evening
After that I contacted Gegenstrom and Nordwestwind
It was very difficult to sail out of the German Bight
On Friday it went much better
Because the tide was no longer against
me and the wind shifted to the west
At night I slept in 30-minute intervals as usual
means getting up every half hour to
check the course wind and ship traffic
en sleep again for 30 minutes
That worked well
But it cannot really replace normal sleep
I will drive公开赛 from Christiansand to Arendal
then anchor in the small Arroya island group
Then it continues through Tønsberg to Oslo
It seems like it's going to be a rather
windy day Winds here are up to 28 knots
I was just showered as I brought in the Genoa a little piece
Let's see how the day goes
This is what it looks like here
it's now half past 5 and we still have about 45 nautical miles
Until the one-way street to Christiansand ahead of us
This is the list of IS signals I am receiving
That's what it looks like
Yes that looks really good
Now I'm going to lie down for a bit and take another nap
Magnificent
20:00 for 20 nautical miles to Christiansand
The wind has fortunately eased up a bit
it had risen to 32 knots in the meantime
Overprimir a longer period
I'm glad when we are in Christiansand
Sunset here in the Skagerrack
It's half past 12 here and Christiansand is ahead
Two o'clock in Christiansand actually I took half an hour
o find
a place to lie down Wow I'm totally wiped out
Now there's only the well-earned investor beer here More
tomorrow Truly
Hello beautiful morning here in Christiansand
The night was very pleasant I slept deeply and soundly
Yes the trip across the Skagerrak was quite tough
they had up to 33 knots of wind here at times
The waves were also very high about 3 to 4 meters
I am happy to have arrived here in Christiansand
A beautiful day here
I just washed all the wet laundry
And now I'm looking forward to the day here and
I'm going to look at Christiansand right away
Christiansand on the southern coast of
Norway has just under 90 000 residents
One of the largest cities in the
country and has several marinas
The Botam the Koholmmarina and the
Hartmannsmarina are mostly used privately
Guests can find a mooring at Christiansand Jestham
Since I had anchored in the Koholm
Marina in the dark the evening before
I need to change my clothes briefly in the morning
Christiansand is one of the most popular vacation spots in Norway
due to the more favorable climate with more hours of sunshine than in the rest of the country
and because of the beaches and festivals
which take place here regularly in the summer
On the small peninsula in front of the
city lies the fortress Christiansholmen
It was built in the 17th century
Today it is a tourist attraction
Here cultural events take place regularly
Here is a monument in honor of the writer
Camilla Colette a famous daughter of the city
She lived in the 19th century
The weather is very good and
I am already almost too warm
Here stands the Evangelical Cathedral in
Christiansand at the end of the 19th century
It was built in its current form
Yes Christiansand really liked me
A very beautiful city here wonderful weather
Yes then to your health
So thank you Bye bye
Hello
Just left Christians呼和
Another beautiful day here
Our destination today is Arendal
These are approximately 45 nautical miles
We have the sails up🔔 there's a bit of wind
Ole is now a bit less
We try to drive a bit closer to the
coast to enjoy the beautiful landscape
Yes the wind is unfortunately gone
that's why the machine is on again
But it's beautiful here
From my Norwegian neighbor
I got a tip in the morning
ot to drive along the open water
but more inland
rough the Nesefjord Rostesund
and Skallefjord past Lillesand
It is very picturesque
It took a little time
Until I entered the route into my navigation app
and according to the map I wouldn't have driven here
Because it looks very narrow and flat
what else is there
I often gladly take
advice from my neighbors
I have rarely been disappointed
And this time as well the tip is very good
It's nice here
There are many water sports enthusiasts on
the move mostly smaller and larger motorboats
but also a few sailboats now and then
Another bit tighter here but the
Big One lets me through from behind
Lillesand and Backbord ahead but that is not
our destination today
we want to go to Arendal
and we are now heading to the Free下乡
We are now out on the open water the wind
is blowing here at about 13 to 14 knots
and make a run at 5 to 5 5 knots here
I have the genoa out
Yes it was a beautiful morning I'm so glad I took the ferry to Lillesand
That was such a beautiful landscape
there it really made me enjoy myself
We are currently en route to the Butterfly
behind us was just around 10 to 11 knots
Exactly at 8 then
We are making about 4.5 knots speed
Here is Arendal after 41 nautical miles
Yes done what a wonderful day
Yes I also just looked at the city
That's quite nice too
A magnificent bay here
And now of course there's the well-earned investor's beer
The Arendal Hamm which is also equipped for
guests is located in the Thürholmen district
The city itself has more than 33 000 residents
and looks back on a long trading
history which ended in the 19th century
These days only a few cargo ships dock each week
For this reason Arendal is a popular tourist destination today
especially for water sports enthusiasts
but the area around the city
also offers other activities
such as hiking and cycling
For me the stay is very
short and I can only
see a small part of the city Especially impressed me
This incredibly beautiful bay with many houses
right by the water And of
course almost all of them
a private dock
Hello
Just left here from Arendal
We are heading towards Langesund today
These are approximately 45 to 50 nautical miles
Unfortunately it is cloudy today
but the sun is supposed to come out again in the
afternoon We are now driving
through this small fjord
about an hour along the way and then we are in open water and then
we'll see what happens
what the wind is like out there I
hope we get to go sailing
There are nice houses here in this fjord directly by the water
We are sailing
here we have a
bit of wind wind force 3
It's also a bit bright
I hope the sun comes out again soon
Yes we've got something on the line
Probably an old shoe
Yes we lost the fish
Yes a real beast
Yes I've made the plan a bit easier
I won't be heading to the Marina Langesund
but I'd like to find a nice anchoring spot
Since the ground here is
rocky the fox anchor is not the suitable anchor right
now This one is much better
It is also very hard
to carry 20 kg He usually gives me a quiet night
So ready to stop
20 kg plate anchor
with 6 m chain lead
and a 40-meter anchor line
We are now approaching this fjord
I think we need another hour
until we get in properly
Then let's see
The one in the빔 is Langesund but
that's not where we're going today
So this is where we want to go
Yes everything looks quite nice
The water depth is 7.8 meters under the keel
It looks very nice
So here it
is I'm going to lie down here at the cliff's edge
So done It all fits
It's a bit tight
Water depth is 0.0 meters from the keel There he is
sitting a bit further
Behind the deep knife Yes there
we also had depth earlier
Actually I don't worry
So one lies here at the cliff's edge
Yes what a wonderful spot
here right at the cliff's edge
What a lovely evening The sun is shining
It has been incredibly warm here
also all day Yes
now I'm going to put a little bit more in the pan
I have some salmon left in the fridge
Not the freshly caught one
but from the supermarket
Yes then I'll just enjoy the evening here
Wonderful Dreamy
Hello After a pleasant quiet night things are starting here now
Yes let's climb up here untie the line
and then we'll go to Tönsberg today
It's a bit
adventurous to climb
up here and let go of the rope
Of course I don't have the right
footwear But I go up
and come down again
Yes ready There we have the line
Then all the lines are
loose and I give the Jumbo a
little push at the bow I
must of course be very careful
Because there is little
depth in front as we
saw on the depth gauge yesterday But it fits
In such moments a solo
sailor and at the same time a
cameraman naturally has a lot to do if one wants to
The drone is in the air 绫 with
which you film and control it
at you have the desired image composition and
at the same time takes
care not to block anyone
or that it is flying somewhere else
In between the second
camera also runs
You should keep an eye on the depth sounder
from time to time on the navigation app
Check the water depth and be sure
to watch out for
other ship traffic
But everything went well
Farewell to the
Narroya Island
Group I really enjoyed it here
With many vacation homes located directly by the water
It's really nice here
and especially so with the warm weather
Best location
So we'll exchange
here in the Landkammer
We didn't need it but that's not a problem
It's the hardest part to catch up
Drive straight into the fjord
up to Dönsberg
Yes there was no sailing wind today unfortunately
It was a day under the
machine Yes also covered but
incredibly warm all day
The sun is shining now and will be so in
an hour to come out for an hour and a half
Now here in Dönsberg
We are before the arrival
We are probably right there by the bridge
Tower here on the hill
It seems to be a small nebula
It looks really good there
So here's the
bridge We should check how long we have to wait
Yes they are lying here in front of
the bridge We still have to wait about an hour and a half
Yes but go shopping briefly for the
rest here at the nearby supermarket
Yes then I am looking forward to the city here This looks really good over here
Marvelous
We have moved here again now
We are here along the harbor promenade
Yes it was a small place
I found this here a while ago
All good
I now have the stern anchor outside
This is typical here for Scandinavia
Dönsberg has about 45 000 residents
It borders the Oslofjord in the east It has a
city center
Two guest sleeping options
the marina between the two bridges
or directly on the promenade
I looked at the
marina while waiting
near the bridge and then decided
To place it by the promenade because it's
more beautifulgłos here
The gap I have found
It's not very big but you
just have to be careful
getting in and push the other boats a bit apart
o make it appropriate
There's a lot going on at the promenade
and the many restaurants
are well filled
Here I get my first impression of how the Scandinavians
celebrate in thePass
The music is loud until the early morning which
doesn't bother me because
I sleep deeply and soundly
My neighbor says it's an unusually
beautiful summer here in the north
probably one like in 200 years
I like it naturally
Yes a glorious day blue
sky the sun is shining
Those are just a few more clouds挲 over there but I think they'll disappear soon Unsafe
Thisormsg is beautiful here small towns on the shore
I am now looking forward to the Oslofjord
and Oslo
The wind is blowing here around
17 knots speed 5 to 5 5 knots
and Dobrak an
Starboard ahead
The Oslofjord stretches
over a length of almost 64 nautical miles in a north-south direction
and connects Oslo with the Skagerrak
The water depth is usually only a few meters
It is very large extending from the shore and reaches a depth of 300 meters at its deepest point
The southeast coast of Norway with its small and large
fjords has fascinated me
with its picturesque landscape
Also the people I met along the way are very open
也希望 and helpful
Almost every neighbor on
the street was happy to have
a little chat and I got
many good tips during that
The Norwegians are a people
passionate about water sports but this is not surprising given their history and location by the water
The coastline of the mainland
alone is 25 000 kilometers long
ot counting the islands at all
Then about double that would
be added Those who do not live directly by the water
It seems to have at least
a vacation house there and of course preferably with its own boat dock
Oslo magnificent
Quickly done
On my trip I mostly saw motorboats
of all classes in
a variety of types
at gives me the impression that
every Norwegian
has at least one
Norway really excites me
and I always find it
to be the most beautiful way
Getting to know a country
better when coming from the sea
It already looks very good
Enter here into Marina Agarbrügge
Yes made it It was a long day today
from Törnsberg up for over 10 hours
Oslo We are now here
in the
city marina Agarbrügge Relatively
central incredibly beautiful
The sun is still shining here lovely weather
This is now the end of my
It was 528 sea miles
In seven and a half days
I am very satisfied Everything
went well beautiful landscapes
Here seen The weather
has mostly cooperated
Of course it continues Tonight comes
My partner Anka has
fled and together we are
driving down the west coast to Gothenburg
en via Anderholen to Copenhagen
I hope the weather stays like this
but I think we will have a lot of fun there again Of course there is now a lo
First the well-earned investor's beer
after a long
hard day
Ah glorious
Cheers
