Is DHGate a Scam and are replicas any good ?

In today's video we find out if fake trainers are any good and if they actually are like the real thing. People who know me know that I am really into my trainers and I have started a bit of a collection now. I've got well over 30 pairs and spent quite a bit of money on them. But recently on YouTube I've seen a lot of people posting replica trainers off a site called DH Gate. I don't know anything about it but I used it. I ordered a pair of trainers which I had also recently bought off StockX. So I've waited for the trainers to come and they're here. So what we're going to do today, they're identical pair of trainers, the same pair, so what we're going to do is we're going to have a look and see how good or how bad they actually are. So I just went on the DH Gate website and searched for the trainers. I think they were about £32. That was with the postage and they took a while to come but they're finally here. I've already seen them and I will let you judge for yourself what you think. This is how they got delivered. They're in a very nice bag but we'll start with the originals which are here. Comes with all your usual StockX stuff. You've got your StockX stickers, stuff like that and then we get straight to the trainers which are Nike Air Max 97 Halloween. I think they were released in 2020 or 2019. It's one of the two. I didn't get them on release. I wish I did because the trainers are a little bit of me. Obviously these are the real pair. Obviously you get your StockX verified tag and I like them. They feel very sturdy. They are a suede material around the edge. The purple bit's a suede material and I have been told that these actually glow in the dark, the bases and the green writing. So that's them and this is how the DH Gate ones came. Come in a nice Nike bag, official and here they are. If you were stood on the other side of the road do you reckon you'd be able to tell the difference? I'm not too sure but as soon as you dive into it and you start having a look at the quality of these, purple isn't suede. It's just painted purple, like a metallic-y shine to it. They've tried, they've really, really tried to, get rid of one of them shall we, get rid of that so we've got a real and a fake. They've really tried to copy the identical trainer but the colours are way off. You can probably see on the video they're nowhere near off. I do quite like the blue colour that they've gone with here, especially on the sole. You can see the difference in the soles already. Right, major differences. The suede is not suede. The colour isn't the same. If you look at the Nike tick on the side of the fake one it's tiny compared to the real one. They feel very, very flimsy. You can tell they've tried to get it like the lace holders going up the tongue. They have got a very similar material but if you look on the fake one it's really big and thick and on the original it's nice, thin and clean and then all you've got to do is if you look at the toe box you can see where they've not cut it properly and it just looks a mess. Like I say, I have done a little bit more research on DH Gate. I've been told that you have to find the right seller for the decent quality stuff which I don't know anything about and I've never used it so I thought I'd just give it a go to try this. The quality, they look okay from a distance unless you've got your hands on them. You probably wouldn't tell unless you knew what the trainers actually were meant to look like. The quality is okay. These ones do glow in the dark because they were glowing in the dark when I got them which is surprising which I didn't think they would but they do. The tongue is hard to explain but on the fake one they feel very soft, very flimsy and on the real one they've got more of a rigid feel, more of a sturdy feel and I don't know, I'm very disappointed. From all the videos I saw I was expecting to get this pair of trainers that came and they looked identical and felt identical to what they were and like I said I might be wrong because you might have to find the right seller and what not but I really wouldn't rate them. The quality of them is shocking and they just look like crap basically. It's just little things like if you see on the actual bit I don't know if you'll be able to see the crease there and then I think on one of the toe boxes if you look at this one this is a proper mess. You look at that it's all creased and mismatched so this bit just really makes me laugh like the three little points going up. I don't know I suppose if you really really want a pair of trainers and you can't afford or can't get hold of the real ones they're kind of a replacement but it's never the real thing. Don't get me wrong when I was younger there's a place near me called Cheetah Mill in Manchester and everyone used to go there getting fakes but I can't do it anymore. I think that's snobbery from my part maybe but I think the quality is just they're illegal. Yeah they look similar but I do not think that they're worth even £30. You could buy a pair of different trainers cheaper trainers for £30 which will look better and probably last better. I've heard a lot of stories about the actual soles and the bubbles that are here so you can feel the bubble on this one it's basically you can literally pop it with your finger and the real one it's a bit sturdier. You can still push it in but it's a lot sturdier you can feel like this it's it's just not great. Like I said I think the flimsy they're not going to last 10 minutes on your feet and then you've got the insole which is just a flimsy insole and then the inside of the trainer I've said they're not badly made but it's just the slight differences which obviously me who's into especially the Air Max 97 and the Air Max TN, the Air Max Plus is something I'd see and notice straight away. Would other people see and notice it straight away? Maybe not. Have you had any experiences with DH gear? StockX for that matter I've had two pairs of StockX in the last month so just two pairs of trainers off StockX in the last month so they've been delivered well before the estimated date and can't complain. I've seen videos that StockX sell fakes and stuff and fakes get through the authentication process but for me right now I can't see any other way. If you want a different pair of trainers which I'm getting into you need to buy legit because I think you'll be very disappointed with the quality of these but like I said there might be some more expensive ones on DH gear that work which I'm not too sure of I wouldn't know. If you know anything more please comment below and let me know and if you want me to buy some more expensive ones which I've bought another pair which I might as well do it now because I'm not going to do a video on it because these are terrible. So these are my Air Max Plus which are the white Supreme Air Max Plus which you have here yeah very nice very sturdy and if you see I don't know if you'll be able to see but it actually says Supreme up the side. Hold on I didn't get the same colour I bought the red ones just to see what they were like but these are absolutely terrible. Right so here's the red ones to be fair the the quality of them doesn't feel too bad but it's when you take a closer look you see on the night tick the paint's all bleeded the Supreme the tongue feels like you could just pull it off to be fair and they just look fat they don't look anything like these these look nice and tight but then you can just see the difference. To be fair to the fakes who've made them these glue all over the front and stuff but the best thing about these is the base for me I think they've got the base bang on if you look at the bottoms and again it doesn't say Supreme up the side like it should. The insole of the real one it's like I still got the stickers I'm scared of wearing these trainers but there will be a time where I do wear them and then on the fake ones you get this. These maybe if you go in running they'll probably fall off your feet apart off your feet but again it's what you want do you want the quality or do you just want it for the look because these to be fair I have tried these on I haven't worn them out the hours but I have tried them on and I do think that you could get away with them looking because the quality of these is miles better than the quality of the Air Max fakes but again there is subtle differences like if you look how clean around the edges are of this and if you look at the size difference it's like an inch more or less on the side and it just doesn't look great but again the quality isn't too bad they do feel a lot softer than the originals but again I only paid 20 I think these were 27 so is there another market is there another part of DHgate where they're a lot more expensive I don't know comment below and let me know and if you want me to order some more I have got another few pair I've got the Supreme Air Max 96 so I see if I can find a fake pair of them or do I try and buy the same again and the more expensive ones see if I can find a decent seller you let me know the only reason I've done this video is because I said I was going to do the video and I really want to wear these trainers so now I've done the video I'll have these on tomorrow I hope you enjoyed it if you're into this kind of thing if you're not I will but let me know what you think of fake trainers and fake clothes for that matter because I had a quick browse on DHgate and they sell all sorts do you want me to do a 200 pound splurge on DHgate and see what I get clothes trainers the lot or so I just sack off DHgate which I think I really should to be fair that's about it and it is what it is and these and these comment below what should I do with them
