Hey everyone, welcome or welcome back to my YouTube channel.
And today I'm going to show you guys how I film and edit my Instagram videos.
Now, I've got so many requests on this just because a lot of people ask me
and a lot of people get confused.
And at first I did as well.
So I thought I'd share with you how I edit them.
So to start off with, I'm going to explain to you how I film my actual videos.
I use a tripod, which I bought off Amazon.
It is from the Amazon Basics collection section sort of thing.
And it was around £20, I think.
It comes with like a camera head, which means it has a little screw.
But I also have an attachment which lets me film on my phone.
I always film in slo-mo so that you can change on iMovie.
Because if you film in normal pace, it goes very glitchy when you put it in slo-mo.
OK, next is how I actually edit my videos.
I use the app iMovie, which is completely free for all iPhone users.
The app should look a bit like this.
So to start with, I'm going to click the plus at the top left and then click movie.
And then just select all the clips that you want to use in your video
and click create movie.
So I'm just going to show a quick demonstration
on how I make it go slow and then quickly.
So I'm going to be using the clip of me and my brothers
doing like this backtuck basket sort of thing.
So wherever you want the clip to start, you're just going to click on the timeline.
Make sure the little white line is on it and then click split.
Then with the bit you don't want, you're going to click on it and click delete.
So if you filmed in slo-mo, then most of the video that you filmed
in should be slo-mo.
And you're going to find the bit that you want to keep slo-mo.
So I want that bit to stay slo-mo.
You're just going to click on it and click split again.
And then you're going to split the clip again where you want the slo-mo to stop.
And then the bit you want in normal pace, you're just going to tap on it.
Click the little timer button sort of thing and turn it to one.
One is like normal pace, basically.
So I've turned both the bits around the slo-mo into one, which is normal pace.
So once you've done that, it should look a little bit like this.
So that is how I make it go quick and then slow.
And also, if you're wondering how I take the volume out of the video
so there's no sound of me talking or music or me hitting the ground,
you just click on the video,
click the little volume button and turn it all the way to zero.
If you've completely muted it,
there should be a little sign in the top left corner
with like a little volume button and a cross through it.
So I do this with all the video clips that I have until it becomes one video.
So to find an audio for my videos, I go onto Instagram.
I normally find an audio account or just some random audios
I've saved from other people.
OK, so once you've found the audio you want to use,
I'm using Trumpets by Jason Derulo, which was on Cave Audio's account.
And I'm just going to click the three dots at the top right of the post
and click copy link.
At the top, there should be a little green message
which says link copied to clipboard.
Then I'm going to go onto the app Repost.
And at the top in your inbox,
this should come up with the video that you just copied the link of.
You're going to click on it.
Click the send button at the top right corner.
And once it's exported, scroll down and it should say save video.
After you've saved it, no message pops up, but it should have saved to a camera roll.
Then we go back into iMovie and you go to wherever you want the audio to start.
Normally at the beginning, you're going to click the add sign
and then video and then recently added or all.
You're going to tap on the audio you want to use.
But instead of clicking add, you're going to click the three dots
and then click audio only.
Now, I did this with all the clips I wanted to.
And here's how it looked.
That is how I film and edit my Instagram videos.
I really hope you enjoyed and found it useful.
And yeah, I love you all.
I'll see you this Sunday for an awesome video that I'm uploading.
And yeah, love you guys.
