SHOW BUSINESS 🎭DAY IN THE LIFE OF NARNIA
Welcome to the day in the life of an actor in their third year showcase at
university. Kettle's boiling in the other room. Bad timing. So I've just got up
about half an hour ago. It's now just gone 10 o'clock and we have to be at the
theater at 1130 today so it's quite nice. We've got a nice lie-in and I've just
been packing some food and some snacks and just packing my bag. I'm just trying to clean
my room a little bit because I've been coming in very late nights all of this
week because we've been doing rehearsals and obviously shows. We did
our first show two days ago, two nights ago and so today is our final shows. We
have one in the afternoon and one in the evening so it's quite nice. We've got a
nice lie-in today. Yeah I'm gonna have some breakfast, listen to some music, have
a little chill, which I like to do in the mornings, then go!
Okay I have not done my makeup because I'm gonna do my makeup when I'm there.
I've just finished drinking my tea. I thought I'd mention that I've been
making ginger and honey tea every morning because it's supposed to be
really good for your throat and I've been straining my throat a lot this
week because we have to do a lot of singing, a lot of shouting and I'm trying
to take care of my throat. So anyway I'm going to go now because it's 1042, my
bus is at 1048. So off I go!
Cool there is nobody here. So I've just got in and no one's in my dressing room
yet but I'm here and apparently everyone's upstairs writing cards. I'm
gonna go upstairs.
Got you!
We're going in for our notes.
Shalom everybody!
Halal!
Hi!
Okay so right now we are
having our makeup done. I've just already had, well I've just already finished my
makeup and then we're gonna have hair and it's about one o'clock ish and then
I'm gonna eat some food and then yeah. Okay so we've got 20 minutes to the show.
I've got my script, my water, just everything that I need backstage. Got my
phone just because I like to take some photos for the acting Instagram. This time my
dressing rooms were like downstairs a level because I'm an SM so I'm part of the ensemble.
All the lead actors have the dressing rooms upstairs. So here we are.
Upstairs. This is the level with the actual stage in the stage career.
Halal!
You're going nowhere, you're going nowhere, you're going nowhere.
Pressure's on.
Bella's channel, all of that.
This is the day in the life.
Stagecraft, all of that.
One, one, two, two.
One of our last shows girl.
Yeah, one of our last shows.
Anywho. I'll see you in a few years.
See you on the big screen.
Hello. Hello stage manager.
I'm the stage manager.
He's the stage manager. He's Mr Big Ball.
So we're now going into backstage. We have 15 minutes.
We have our big, you probably can't see it, but we have a big Aslan up there.
Who looks incredible.
And then we have the stone table.
We have my leopard here.
He's glowing.
Here we have the props table.
Here we have Max.
Good day.
Here we have some more actors.
And there we have on stage.
This stage is different from last time because we don't have a way to walk over there.
So we have to go all the way out if we want to get around the other side.
But it's looking amazing.
And I think some of the audience are in there already.
Interval. It was good in the first half.
I'm quite used to it by now.
Going downstairs just to have a little chill out.
And a little rest.
And then carry on with part two.
We just finished show one for the afternoon.
We've got one more to go.
And we're going to chill.
We're sweating like...
Yeah, we need a shower.
We are sweating. We are tired out.
It was a good show though.
There was lots of kids in the crowd.
Because it was like a daytime one.
So it was really cute.
See you later.
Okay, it's currently about quarter to six.
I'm about to go and have my dinner.
And then we start again at 7.30.
But we have to have touch ups and all that at like 6.
So I've got like 15 minutes or 20 minutes to eat my dinner.
Where's my fork? Oh, here it is.
Okay.
I've got my fork. Off I go.
Hello Ellie.
Hi guys.
How goes?
You look very pretty.
Last show.
Last show. It is the last show.
We're just doing a mic test.
Oh, I've got hiccups.
We're doing a mic test and then we've got notes.

And the flags.
There's Lily.
Oh my god.
My hiccups are so bad.
You know what time it is.

We've got Lauren over here.
And we've got Jacob playing Edmund.
Edmund.
Follow Lauren.
We're going this way.
Hello costume ladies.
How are we doing?
How are we? How are we? How are we?
We've got Reece in there, Mr Beaver.
Hello there.
Where is everyone?
Anyone in here?
Yeah. Hello.
We've got you again. We've done you.
Hello everyone.
Now I don't know if I managed to get everyone today.
But we'll do our best.
We've got everyone down here.
That's why.
We've got Oscar our assistant director.
We've got Henry.
We've got Shay. It's the Storm Diaries.
We've got Ian over here.
We've got Lily.

Hello.
Jack playing Peter the Magnificent.
I think that's everyone in here.
If that is everyone then I can give you back to Isabella.
There you go. Storm Diaries.
Hello.
So right now we are waiting
to have notes.
Hello YouTube.
She's saying Susan.
So right now we're waiting for notes from the director.
And then we are going to
get into costume.
Well some of us are in costume. Some are not.
I'm not in costume at the minute.
And then we start the show.
The last show ever.
And here is everyone.
We just had a nice little sing along.
And now.
There's Reece.
Always a joker.
One last time.
Off we go.
One last time.
How did that happen?
Amazing.
Off we go.
To our dressing rooms.
Going to be amazing.
Come to be amazing.
That was awful.
Off we go to our dressing room.
For the last show.
This is Bethany.
From Bethany's room.
And then we are along the hallway.
Not that room.
This room.
There we are.
There's our names.
Let's open the door.
Are you ready?
Yes.
Hello.
So we can see what's going on live.
On this little TV.
So currently.
Audience members are coming in.
And we are backstage.
In the hallway.
The stage is through that way.
This is Rochelle's dressing room.
We are getting ready.
We have about 10 minutes.
11 minutes.
It's going to be fun.
It's our last one.
It will be a good one.
I have the radio on.
So I know when my call is.
To go back on.
I have to put on my radio mic.
In the second half I have a line.
I have to sing a lot more.
Hello.
Hi.
Thank you.
It's going really well.
This is our assistant director.
Oscar.
Right now I have to.
That was nice.
I have to put on my radio mic.
And my mic belt.
I have my mic on.
I will be heard on stage.
When I am singing and dancing away.
Monica is here with me.
We are about to go back up.
To restart the show.
Act 3.
It's finished.
It's Christmas.
But that time is past.
And Christmas is here.
At last.
