Team Canada at the Little League World Series has been impressive.
This is from their first game against Australia.
Hot shot pitcher catches it.
No problem.
Came right back at him.
Got on him quick.
Almost hit his bare hand.
Doesn't matter.
Catches it.
Then makes the cute little kid face like, oh, oh, oh.
Major leaguers do that, too.
Then in their next game against Team Japan, look at this.
Hot shot double play.
Another ball that just found a glove.
Oh, I got it.
You're out, too.
See ya.
Then they were in a bases loaded jam with two outs.
They bring in Jackson Mayervich, whose dream job is retirement.
And he says, don't worry, I'll just spin some
and get you out of this strike on the inside fastball.
And then a fly out fly out.
So gets out of the jam.
They were escaping jams all game.
Center fielder has the ball, has the ball out of here.
Get out of my face.
Another bases loaded two out jam curveball for strike one.
Curveball for strike two.
Both fouled off.
Fastball blows it by him.
Strike three.
Oh, stunts on him.
Walks off and then does a little, uh, uh, uh.
Nothing to it.
OK, now we are in the top of the six and Team Canada is hitting.
First batter gets hit right on the buttocks.
Hit him in his wallet.
That's what umpire probably just yelled.
Got him in his wallet.
Next up, this kid swings and misses at the fastball.
Takes whatever that was away.
Gets a hanger and crushes it over the shortstop's head.
Canada's got something going on in the sixth inning of a nothing.
Nothing game.
First and third.
Oh, Canada.
Yes.
What's your say?
Canada, Canada, same thing.
Fans are excited.
And the next pitch is put in play past the third baseman
who was playing in and a little over, and they have the lead in the sixth.
And now they're fired up.
Uh-huh.
Yep.
And mom gets some high fives and she's, you know, got that like proud frown on.
I'm guessing that's mom or just a just a proud fan of Canadian Little League team.
Then they're going to put the bunt on first and third.
No outs.
Bunt, and they push another run across on the play.
Well executed fundamentals.
That's what they're doing.
Next batter takes inside, takes low,
takes outside, takes inside.
A little Jeter butt pop.
And he's on first base.
So now you got first and second, one out.
Still only two nothing.
Anything can happen at the Little League World Series.
The lefty is up and he bunts.
Again, and flies down the base paths and they're safe.
So now bases are loaded.
The big alrighty's up.
Kabam.
See ya.
Don't play shallow on me.
That clears them.
One run scores, two run scores, three run score.
And that's the big blow.
Let's go.
Now it's the bottom of the sixth.
They just got to hold this lead.
Our dude Jackson gets a strike swinging.
He gets a strike on the ball outside.
And then the 2-2.
Drops one in there.
Strike three, you're out.
That's one.
Okay, next up.
Fouls back that one for strike one.
Twists that one in there for strike two.
The 0-2, same pitch.
Swings over it.
Two out.
One more out.
There's only one out left.
First pitch curve in there.
Next pitch, twirls it again in there for the third strike.
Drops it again.
Oh yeah, you see this here glove?
It's mine.
Boom.
Drops it.
Yup, yup, yup.
Picks it up.
Picks the glove back up.
His dad is in the crowd.
Woo!
