nǐ hǎo, in this lesson we're going to learn some new words. The first one is to like, the second one is to eat, and the third one is food or cuisine. Here's how you say to like. xǐ huān, mhm, xǐ huān, mhm. For xǐ, its spelling is xi, third tongue. Think this way, birds like to chirp when they eat. Well I know this might be a stretch, but it helps right? Now say to eat, chī, chī. Here's how you say Chinese food or Chinese cuisine, zhōngguó cài. zhōngguó cài. Cài means cuisine or dish. The spelling for this word is c-a-i, fourth tone. Whenever you see the English letter c in pinyin, you can automatically replace it with t-s, so c-a-i sounds like t-s-a-i. Now say Chinese food, zhōngguó cài. zhōngguó cài. Say American food, literally America dish, měi guó cài. měi guó cài. Now say Italian food, literally Italy dish, yì dà lì cài. bàng bàng bàng bàng, dòng dòng dòng dòng.
