Hi everybody, this is Pam and Sunny. Hi everybody, and we are very excited to present to you today
some very cool, very, very old books that have been transformed into plain writing journals,
and I'm selling these as a little kit. I have 12 of them. They're available in my Etsy shop.
They are on, I would say they're a smaller journal. On average, like slight differences in size,
seven by about four, yeah, I would say seven by about four, so they're small books. These books
are beautiful old antique or vintage books that were literally falling apart, were destined for
bad things, and I thought, you know what, these need to have some life breathed back into them,
and I know that there are people out there who love very old books. Maybe they cannot find them,
or it's too difficult to actually construct the journal, so I made the journal for you.
I'm going to give you a tour of one inside. It was very hard for me not to decorate them,
but they are not decorated on the inside because I wanted to give you the opportunity to decorate
them, and I included some stuff that you can decorate them with, plus a few little extras,
and let me just give you a tour of one of them, for example, but basically they all follow the
green, blue, or grayish tones, and at the time of the load of this video, they will already be
pre-packaged, sealed. Well, I don't know if they'll be sealed, but they'll be pre-packaged,
so it'll kind of be a chance, like which one you get, so if you're okay with that, then that's
awesome, but they're all very old. Where I could find a date on them, I put it on the front of the
book. Let me show you. Actually, let me take you in a little closer. Okay, there you are. Hello.
I did add one of the decorated pencils, and so that it comes with the book. The books are closed
with a gold elastic cord, very easy to remove. I did put the dangles of the spine ties, the
signature ties, on the outside, because I thought you might want to tie something on there. You can clip
these off if you don't like it, up to the knot, or you can put some beads, or whatever you like
on there. I just wanted to give you options. You could put charms, things like that, and then on
the inside, no, I didn't do that. Wait, I'm also giving you, let me show you this first, I'm giving
you the, including the innards of the book, and if I find the date on the inside of the book,
I wrote it on the first page, and because I wanted you to be able to draw from the book
if you wanted to do that, so you could actually see what your book was like before I got to it,
and so if you're ever wondering about the actual book, this innard is included with the book, and
so inside the book itself, you're going to find, I left the covers, the inside covers as
they were, because I wanted that to be your space. The only thing I did was, I stamped and
signed the back cover, and if you want to cover that, you can easily cover that with a pocket,
or a pack, or leave it as is. Now the book is, it does have a piece of quilting material down
the spine for reinforcement, and it also has other reinforcements in there, but that's what's
visible, okay, and then the book is filled with many different types of paper. These are stencil
coffee ink dye papers, avocado, braille paper, some workman paper, oh that's where that got to,
didn't know where that went, and I was looking for that earlier, some calendar paper, coffee
dye paper, doilies, old college rule, oh on the inside of each signature, I put a copy of a
watercolor that I have done at one time, and so that's, there's two signatures in here, and there's
12 pages per signature, so I think it's 96 pages front and back for each book, and so then you're
just going to have different, unique pages all the way throughout, just lots of fun. So there you go,
that's the only, that's like, well okay, I made it a little personal there, if you don't like that,
you can just take that page out and make it all your own, but anyway, there you go, and so what
else, you get the actual journal, and now do expect these journals, they're going to show what,
these are old books, they're going to show, this one actually looks not too bad, but some of them
have quite a bit of wear and weather on them, and I didn't want to change anything like that because
I wanted to honor the old quality of the book, I think that's part of its charm, and so if that is
something that you like, if you like to see the wear and the weather on the book, these books have
that potential for you. So also, along with the book, and along with the innards of the book,
I've included a beautiful cabinet card from days gone by, just to get you rolling with the feel
and the theme of olden days, and maybe this will inspire you a little bit to think about what
people's lives were like at that time, and you know, things like that, I love seeing these old
pictures and seeing their faces, is that, I can't tell, seeing their faces and that, and look at the
expressions, isn't that great? Like, here we are, Marge and Sal, yep, ready for our shot, gotta love them.
All right, so along with that, they're gonna get a few little extra goodies, and each one of the book,
kits, journal kits, will include, whoa, hold on, Sally, where are you going? Okay, I'll just do a quick flip
through here, a tea card, a little page from a journal, this is like extinct money from another
country, a library card, a cover, this is an envelope, an old envelope of some sort, an old
check, I think everybody got the same pack of, these came from a pack, and they're all from 1920s,
1920s, this is a microfiche, if anybody remembers, I also remember that, microfiche, way back when,
yeah, all right, a postcard, another first day issue, a first day issue envelope, a music page,
and then you're going to get a package of what I call exciting mystery stuff, and this, these are
all basically the same, but I, what I did was, I may have remembered when I made these before, I
ran my, I think it's leaves, digi kit through, I put these glassine bags through my printer,
not an easy job, no, no, but it was, it was possible, and I printed the digi kits right on
the glassine bag, and I stuffed these with all sorts of goodies, little tiny goodies that you
can use to decorate the book, usually, so let me pull one of these out, so you get an idea of what's in there,
there's an old, authentic Victorian calling card, pharmacy stamps, or pharmacy labels,
digi, not digi cards, all sorts of, well, I'll just let you look through, this is a good example,
all, all random things, fun things, things to play with, you know, just random fun things that you
can explore to add all sorts of fun to your junk journal, okay, I think I put that,
okay, and then you're also going to get these three little packets, and let me just explain
what is in here, because I wanted to leave the creation part up to you, I wanted to give you
options, this little one contains four metal corners, if you want to put those on your book,
you can just glue them on with fabric fix, or, you know, a white glue will work as well, and you
probably want to use a little crimping, like a soft nylon plier to adhere them on, and these are
full of vintage stamps, like postage stamps, and these have some metal charms in them, in case you
want to dangle those off the back spine, if you so choose, so I want to give you things to play
with, maybe things you haven't come across before, and I hope that gives you fun ideas on what to do,
so if you are interested in one of these packs, there is free shipping, and these can be shipped
in the USA, and I hope you enjoy this, so Sunny, do you have anything you would like to add to this?
No, mom, I'm sleeping. Okay, very well, then we will not disturb you, I'm sleeping on your flip-flops, yes,
yes, he is sleeping on my flip-flops, okay, so I hope you're having fun, everybody, and thank you
very much for all your encouragement and support, and if you're looking for any of the links to
my things, they're all listed in the drop-down box below the video, and if you're looking for
my Etsy shop, the link is down there, my vintage digital kits, as long as, as well as ephemera
collections, which are bigger collections of actual antique, vintage, and fun papers to be able to
be used inside your junk journals, are available in there right now, and I put them in periodically
as I, as I make some, what else, oh, my vintage digi kits are in there, those are downloadable
printables that you can print out on demand, just once you buy them, they're there for you forever,
you never lose them, and I have an Amazon shop with all my favorite tools and supplies, and a

and the newsletter, and it also contains a list of journal supplies, some
junk journal tips and updates from the paper outposts here at PAM, and what else, I do a podcast

crafting, life of a crafter, crafter Q&A, things like that, there's all, there's about three years
worth there for you, so feel free to peruse through there, they're all free, you can listen on Apple

and what else, what else, there's probably something else, I just can't remember, oh,

and posting things related to the videos, and I love seeing what you guys are making, you guys are
a bounty of inspiration for all of us, so thank you so much for sharing what you do, and I think
that's it, so if you are interested in one of these, these are available in my Etsy shop right now,
there's a very limited supply of these, I only have 12 max, and they're all similar, but just
a slight bit different from each other, because of the actual book, or the design of the pencil, or
that, the inside pages are pretty much the same, each of the artworks inside each signature is
different though, because I just used all different ones, and then the collections of
things are primarily the same as well, everybody will get one of those pieces that I showed,
just a different one of those pieces, but it will be all those things, so there you go folks,
I hope you have fun, I hope you're having a blast today, no matter what you're doing,
remember that fun can be simple, and create with reckless Amanda, take care everyone, bye-bye!
