9 MORE Creative Ways to Edit your Instagram Stories Using the Instagram App
This first edit I'm doing, what you're going to want to do is add text so I'm just going to add
coffee because that's what I wanted to say and then I'm going to make sure it's in the font strong.
Then I'm going to move it on my image to a spot where it's kind of blank and there's room around
it so like right here. Next what I'm going to do is I'm going to add text and I'm just
going to write out half the word and then I'm going to take the color selection tool
and then move it to like a darker part of the coffee to pick up a color.
Then what I'm going to do is I'm going to put it on the other half of the word
so if it says coffee in the front half I'm just going to put the cof over here.
Then what I'm going to do is repeat the same thing for the other side
and just get the color and arrange it on the other portion.
Okay so I'm just going to go back and change the color too so they're the same.
Okay and then once you have that you could just finish arranging it.
So this next edit is going to be something that has colorful text on the side so you're
going to want to photo and orient it so that it's sideways like this so that the right or
left side of your screen is pretty blank. Then what I'm going to do is add the letters for
summer individually and I'm making sure it's in the font strong and I'm just going to arrange
them along their heads. Okay so once I have that I'm going to add the text again but this time
I'm going to change the color so I'm just going to pick up colors either from their sunglasses
or ones that I think would look nice and arrange them so it looks like there's a white shadow on
text.
Okay and then once I have that I can just go ahead and post it. So for the next edit what
I'm going to do is go to the text button again and just type Saturday. You could obviously type
whatever text and then I'm going to add a background and change it to pink and I'm going
to arrange it on the part of the image where I want it to say that and I'm going to make sure
that the right part of it is off the screen a little bit and then I'm going to add another
thing of text but it's just going to be the dash. I'm going to make it as long as this other one
and then make the background and then add a lighter color as the background. Then I'm just
going to go ahead and arrange it so that it's behind this and then click on the Saturday text
so it comes over it and just work on arranging it until I have it how I like it. Then what you
can do is you can add like a little heart with this tool here or something like that and you
have your next. The next edit is one of those travel ones so I'm going to go ahead and write
two different locations so say you're traveling from like the JFK airport to LAX and I'm just
going to position them on the screen kind of far apart so we can get the effect we want
and then I'm going to go ahead and add the emoji for a pin. Okay so once I have that I'm going to
go to the draw tool and this marker tool make sure it's selected on white and then I'm just
going to do one of these doodles from this pin to that pin and you guys can redo it a couple times
but you get the general idea and this is how it's supposed to look and you can go ahead and post.
So the last way to edit it what you're going to want to do is go to the draw tool and this marker
tool and I'm just going to write Saturday. Then what you're going to do is go to the erase tool
and erase a middle section. I'm going to make it a little bigger though. Once you have that I'm
going to go ahead and go to text and I'm going to write Saturday out in lowercase letters and
put two spaces in between it and then what I'm going to do is I'm going to change the color.
You could try picking up a color from the background but I don't think the ones on here
show up very well so I'm going to go ahead and arrange it in that space that's empty and I'm
going to change the color again because it doesn't look very good there. Usually the darker colors
look good when it's super bright. And then you just put it in the middle and then you can post
it to your story. For this next edit what you're going to want to do is go to the draw tool and
make it whatever color you want. I like the color yellow and then you're going to just write out GM.
Try to make the letters kind of big and I kind of made them kind of twirly and look super nice.
Then go to the erase tool and we're going to erase like a mid section of this and it takes
a few tries to get it how you want it. Then once I did this I'm going to go ahead and type in good
I'm going to go ahead and type in good morning in the font strong and just arrange it so that it's
in here and then if you guys want you can also add this like circle thing on the side it's a
text effect that you have and arrange it in there like so and then you could just post it to your
story. So the next option what you're going to want to do is go to the draw tool and go to the
marker option and make it kind of a larger stroke. Then I'm going to go ahead and collect a color
from the background that I want but I want to make it kind of dark. And then what I'm going
to do is I'm going to take that and I'm just going to do a scribble in like a large area of the photo
and I'm going to go over it twice so that it's more opaque. Then what I'm going to do is add
text in the font strong and I'm just going to write mood and then it again and one of them I'm
going to make a blue color so I'm going to make it kind of a lighter blue than what her shorts were
so that it's easier to see. Then I'm going to go ahead and put this on the on this scribble
that we made and arrange it like so. And then I'm just going to type for summer and change the font
to the typewriter font and I'm just going to put that underneath like so and for the next story
I'm going to go to the draw tool and I'm going to select a darker color probably like this
dark brown or a dark orange or I'll go with this green actually and I'm just going to make the
size a little bit bigger and I'm going to write summer in all caps. Next what I'm going to do is
I'm going to click on white and make the size as small as possible and just go over this in a script
font and it might take a couple of times but then you have your next Instagram story. So the next
idea what you're going to want to do is figure out what you want to say. I want to type summer
so I'm just going to write the U-M-M-E-R for summer and I'm going to change the font to strong
and arrange it here and then I'm just going to put O-V-I-N and one of these and arrange that
underneath it. Next what I'm going to do is go to the draw tool and I want a pink so I'm going to
make it a little bit larger and make it the marker tool and then I'm just going to add my letters
and now what I'm going to do is click on the draw tool make it the smallest size
go back to white and just go over it. You guys can also do it with this tool I think this one
like this sparkly one looks kind of cool and then you have it so then you can just save it
to your Instagram story.
