The True Story of Area 51 (Bob Lazar) - Grant Cameron

Okay, I wanted to do a video on Area 51, which is one of the most popular topics in the UFO field. I've written two books. One was called UFOs, Area 51, and Government Informants. And I wrote a book earlier in 1991 called UFOs, Area 51, and the Government. And when the second book was put out, I had contact with George Knapp. I had contact with him in the first one. George Knapp stated that it was, when the book came out, the best version of Area 51 that he had seen. And I think it's a bit different than other people's version of what actually happened. So let me sort of try to explain my interpretation of what happened at Area 51. What people may forget is that Area 51, the story didn't break till 1989, but it was actually mentioned long before that. Bill Moore, who was a major researcher during the 1980s, was talking about it. And it was also mentioned in a documentary in 1988 called UFO Cover-Up Live, which was a documentary that I believe was initiated by the CIA. And this was an initiative to get out a story. And I maintain that the government for 70 years has been leaking the UFO story and protecting the classified material that's associated with the UFO phenomena. Area 51 is one of the stories that the government leaked and it got out of control. So in 1988 already, there's a flowchart. If people go to YouTube, they can find this documentary called UFO Cover-Up Live, and you will see in there a flowchart that shows how the government UFO program works from the president down through defense intelligence, the CIA, Area 51, all these different things are mentioned. But Area 51 is not a public name yet, but it appears in this documentary. So what happens is that the government, as I've described in a book called Managing Magic, the government's UFO disclosure plan, has done a number of initiatives to get out the story. One of the initiatives was this Area 51. So what they do is they want the story out. So what they usually do in terms of these stories is they wanna leak the story to somebody who people aren't really gonna take 100% seriously. And I maintain that the Area 51 story was intended for a man by the name of John Lear. John Lear was a very prominent researcher in the 1980s. He was a former CIA pilot. His father invented the Lear jet, came from a very famous family. He had run for Senate in Nevada. In 1988, when this story started to break, John Lear had become famous with KLS-TV, which is the TV network that broke the Area 51 story. And he became famous because he's the one that told them about the stealth fighter, that they were testing the stealth fighter at Area 51. KLS-TV went with the story and became responsible for breaking this story. So they were indebted to John Lear for his ability to know what was going on at Area 51. So what happens is they intend this story, they wanna get out the story that they have UFOs at Area 51 and that they have a live alien. So what they do is they set up a guy named Bob Lazar. And Bob Lazar has a problem in that he claimed he had two master's degrees and these would not check out. So this is who you want to carry the message. If you want the story out, clean, without any question, you go to the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN, Fox News, and you just tell them what's going on. Take them for a tour of the crafts. If you sort of want it out, this is what you do. What they do is they get this guy named Bob Lazar, who's a physicist who had worked at Los Alamos. And while working at Los Alamos, he had run into Edward Teller. And Edward Teller was rumored to be very knowledgeable about the UFO program at Area 51, what was going on. He had encountered him earlier at Los Alamos when Teller was giving a speech there. So in the late 1988, Mr. Bob Lazar and John Lear encounter each other. When John Lear is getting his house assessed, Bob Lazar is working on the crew that's doing a house assessment for his house. They set up him by the following method. He's talking to John and John says, well, you should go back up. You should go work at the site. You should go up to Area 51 and work there. So because Bob Lazar has a contact with Edward Teller, he phones up Edward Teller and he says, I'm thinking of getting back into the scientific community. And have you got a job I can get? So Teller says, well, yeah, you can either come to Livermore where I'm working up in California, or you can go up to the base. So Lazar says, well, I'd like to go up to the base. This is November of 1988. The key thing to understand how this all works is Bob Lazar goes for three interviews to EG&G, which runs the Area 51 site. The first question in the second interview tells the whole story. The first question in the second interview was to Bob Lazar, what's your relationship to John Lear and what do you think about him? So before they ever put Bob Lazar on the base with the Flying Saucers, they knew that he knew John Lear. And in 1988, John Lear was considered to be a pretty radical person inside the UFO community. He was the one that was doing the underground bases, 64 aliens killed underground, all this kind of stuff about the aliens stealing your soul, the aliens are mining the moon, all this kind of stuff. And in 1989, John Lear actually had the job of running the MUFON conference, which was going to be in Las Vegas. And he was gonna bring in a bunch of speakers like Bill Cooper and a bunch of these people who were into this very conspiratorial stuff. And MUFON actually took the conference back away from John Lear, because you're not gonna bring these crazy speakers in here. And John actually ran a second MUFON conference down the street and actually drew more than the MUFON conference. So he was this controversial character and the whole idea was that you take this guy, Bob Lazar, who is missing these two degrees, you give him the story, let him see all this stuff. When he comes out, two things are gonna happen. Number one, he's going to give this story to John Lear. Nobody's gonna believe John Lear because they're gonna say, oh, it's just John Lear. Don't listen to John Lear, he's got all these crazy things. And the story's gonna float around. Everybody's gonna say, oh, it's just John Lear. But the idea that they have UFOs and a live alien at Area 51 is gonna get out. So what happens is he goes up to the base. Within three weeks, he's on the base. They let him on the base, even though they know he knows John Lear. And they show him, the second day he's on the base, they show him 125 documents that describe the whole program, all these different alien programs and stuff. And they're basically feeding him material. He goes back on, I think, December the 6th, 1988, to John Lear's house and he says, I was up at the base and it's for real. And John says, are they theirs or are they ours? And Lazar said, they're theirs. And John said, well, what the hell are you doing here? You know they're gonna be watching you. Get out of here. Go up to the base, work for six months, and then come tell me the story of what's going on. Do you know they're gonna be following you? And that's exactly what happened. They were monitoring the whole thing. They wanted John Lear to carry the story. So from November of 1988 till March of, I think it was March of 1989, John's got the story. And he's telling people they've got stuff up at the base. They've got a live alien up there. They've got these crafts up there and this sort of stuff, but nobody's listening to him. What happens, and this is how the story breaks. John Lear's this guy who's got a questionable background. In the spring of 1989, because KLS-TV is indebted to John Lear for breaking the stealth fighter story, George Knapp is following John Lear and saying, oh, tell me about your stuff, whatever. And he's not really, you know, clearly paying that much attention. He's missing an interview. George Knapp needs an interview for his evening talk show. The guy backs out. So he phones up John Lear and he says, I need a guest for tonight. You know, you got that guy that worked at Area 51? Bring him on the show. I need a guest. So they put him on the show. They call him Dennis. They backlight him so you can't see his face. And now you no longer have John Lear telling the story. Now you have Emmy award winning, 20 some Emmy award winning, George Knapp telling the story. And suddenly this thing goes viral around the world. And suddenly everybody's there. The Japanese are there. All the major networks are there. And they're up in the mountains and they're looking down on the base. And forget about UFO stuff. There was bus loads of people coming up there and now they're watching everything that happened at the most top secret base in the world. So they had to get the thing under control. And it got out of control. The story was supposed to be carried by Lear. It was carried by Knapp and it basically got out of control. And then the final thing that shows that this was a setup was you get a situation where Bill Clinton actually takes more land back. He actually grabs more land to push these people back because they're up 11 miles, but they can see the base. They're looking down on the base from the mountains. So he takes more land and people are now 25 miles away and there's mountains in between. So you can't watch the base anymore. They do that. And when the story was being leaked, Lear and Lazar, Lazar was taking people up to the base. He was taking John Lear. John Lear's a guy by the name of Gene Huff. Lazar's wife was there and they had a motor home and they'd go up to the edge of the base when they tested the craft. And they were filming this and they got caught. On the third night that they did this, they got caught by the camo dudes, the security people around Area 51. And Lazar was brought into Indian Springs the next morning. And his claim was that they put a gun to his head and they said, when we told you this was top secret, that didn't mean for you to bring your friends out and watch the test. The key was, how did he know when the test was? Why would they tell him when the test was? He was just working. They only worked there a couple of days. They told him where the test was because they wanted him to bring John Lear out there and keep spreading this story. And what really confirms the fact that this was all a setup by the government to get this story out that just got out of control was when they did this briefing at Indian Springs, this was top secret material. He was giving them top secret, the most secret thing in the United States. He's telling it and they don't fire him. All they do is suspend his security clearance. And they say, your wife is having an affair with her instructor who's teaching her to fly a plane. And we feel sorry for you, so we're just gonna suspend your security clearance. And they let him go. They should've thrown him in jail for the rest of his life or arrested him, but they did none of that. They let him go back up. And what most people don't realize is that they actually invited Bob Lazar back to the base again. And it was Bob Lazar who wouldn't go back. He believed that he was being drugged, that he was given this very bitter stuff to drink when he was Area 51. And he believed that he was being drugged. He couldn't remember what was happening at the base. So it was Bob Lazar who didn't go back to the base. He was never fired. It was a total setup. That's what they want the story out. And it took him a couple years to get the story back under control. And now we're back to the thing where everybody thinks, oh, it was just a story. And Lazar, he was missing the degrees. He was lying. He was making it all up. And that's how they leak the story. You leak the truth. You put a bunch of disinformation and a bunch of people who aren't highly regarded behind the story and the story gets out and it just floats around. And that's the story of Area 51.
