Checking A Few Traps (Rare catch) & A Load Of Stumps

Well today is November the 16th and today you know I want to want to get a little bit of firewood and I said I'll check a few traps as well you know and look at this oh what a beautiful marten what a beautiful marten right there look at that another big land butte oh yeah oh look at that right there oh yeah that's number two I'm not checking a whole lot of traps you know I said if I get tree it'd be a good morning and I still got a couple of traps left to check so you don't know oh yeah look at that beautiful marten. When I was here the other day the box here was gone so I set a cobby down right there I got a digging out there in a second and this box was in a place I've never caught a marten there I don't know three or four years now so I figured it's just time to take you up and put it in here I figured it's a better location anyway so I'll dig you out and uh yeah let's just see you never know yeah even though now I got the box put here now I'm gonna leave that cubby there too you never know you know you could come and get a double and it's right under the box so it's easy gonna be easy to find so it looks it looks very nice there so I'm just gonna leave that be there for now well what do I see right there that one there on there makes a hat trick and I got one more trap to check before I cut a bit of firewood I might check a couple more after but uh there's not a lot of time on me I was late getting some of these traps out uh I might check a couple just the same so so who knows I got one more trap to check I might get something and if not I'll get a bit of firewood and might run through a few other ones and at least then I won't have to check them then for a little while so so yeah I'll get this one out and move on I guess that's it I got reset I got re-lured and I'm ready to go well guys you can see a forest fire swept through here a few years ago and you can tell now someone was cutting some wood here last winter I guess uh the snow was deeper than but uh you know like you'll stamp down and get a couple of junks of each one of them stumps uh I'm just getting a little bit of wood you know to top up the shading for the fire pit and I'll get more later on the winter but uh just get a bit now uh it's a fine day take advantage of it some of the snow uh to lighten it up a little bit don't want to overdo it you know I don't need all some solid wood right there you tell good wood you don't want to put a sound of it too well I can see that the trap is out of the box and I sees a little bit of fur stuck around it around the other side of that tree there so so I think that makes number four that's pretty good I got my wood and now looks like I got another oh yeah there he is that makes number four now I was only gonna haul a couple and that's the first one now since I I got my wood so now what I'm gonna do I probably I don't know I may just haul till dark yeah at least then I won't have to check them for for a little while and bait's still there always check that you know go off now if there's no bait in your trap wouldn't be good that was a pleasant surprise yes sir that makes number five another dandy well guys this is uh it's gonna be the last trap for the day and I got a red fox in my uh mountain trap this is probably the fourth fourth one I think I got through the years like this this is the first one last couple years uh you can see look he's well over a foot off the ground there but probably climbing up on their limbs a little bit but you got the trap there across the head there so you know nice main catch all the same so uh yeah I guess that's a bonus anyway uh just how I showed it uh not something you see very often I do happen once in a while but uh it was a bit of a rare catch for sure so anyway that's pretty good with this fox here now that makes uh five martins and a fox for the day so it's pretty good well guys I was uh finished for the day then I said uh I I set uh six traps a couple of days ago and you see my snowshoe tracks not even snowed over and just look at that got a martin there so so now this is the first one of the six are probably gonna end up on another five oh well is it this day just keeps getting better and better that old rabbit tracks here oh look at that that's a big land butte right there beautiful martin beautiful well guys that's today's catch I got the six martins and the fox I'm gonna hang up this shed here now because I must keep keeping frogs there for now
