10 productivity tips for ADHD brains or those who lack focus

1. Use the “fullscreen” option when working on a computer
2. Turn “do not disturb” on OR turn phone ringer on so you don’t mindlessly check it
3. If you take meds, try and be consistent; take them at the right times etc. ask your prescribing doc if you’re not sure
4. Set timers to complete tests, look into the pomodoro technique
5. Have a reward in mind for after you complete a task
6. Write it down. Ideas, errands, whatever it is. I have notepads everywhere and thoughts can be fleeting so write it down immediately.
7. Create BASIC checklists. Even have one massive running list and pull from that 3 or 4 things at a time to check off so you don’t get overwhelmed.
8. Ask for what you need. Quiet/ headphones/ not sitting by a window etc
9. Know your limits and create your own concept of productivity, you may never perform how you’d ideally like but that doesn’t mean you aren’t doing great things. Stop comparing.
10. Adapt and keep trying, it’s a huge part of finding that balance.
