AWD vs RWD vs FWD Track Test Forza Science
Hey guys, my name is Gingy, and today we are going to be finding out
what is better around a racetrack.
All-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, or front-wheel drive.
What we're going to be doing is testing the same exact car on the same exact track,
except we have a different drivetrain.
One will be all-wheel drive, one will be front-wheel drive, and one will be rear-wheel drive.
We'll go ahead and put the clips side by side and see which one makes it around the fastest.
The vehicle that we have today is a Ford Fiesta ST.
If you guys have another vehicle in mind to do this with,
go ahead and post it down in the comment section below.
But, let's get started.
And there goes all-wheel drive crossing the line in first place.
And then in second comes rear-wheel drive.
And then, last but not least, front-wheel drive.
Now, this was kind of expected.
I did think rear-wheel drive would be a little bit better, but yeah.
Launching.
At the very beginning, all-wheel drive immediately took the lead.
Obviously, nothing compares to all-wheel drive in terms of launching.
However, all-wheel drive also had the advantage in the corners.
It was the most stable.
There were, at some times, a little bit of understeer, a little bit of oversteer.
But, in general, it was the best handling.
Rear-wheel drive tended to kick its tail out quite a lot,
and front-wheel drive did all sorts of crazy things.
I could tell when doing these times, front-wheel drive was going to be by far the worst.
I had a very hard time keeping front-wheel drive under control.
But, yeah, guys, around the track, all-wheel drive is a little bit better.
Not by much, but a little bit better.
Top speed-wise, rear-wheel drive might have the win,
but there is no spot on this track that you can test that.
But, anyway, guys, I do hope you enjoyed.
Make sure to subscribe if you are new.
And, well, have a great day, guys.
See you later.
But, 9.5 seconds per mile.
Like I said, horrible launch.
It will get better.
You definitely don't have to worry about being beaten by the peanut butter.
That's for sure.
