A pervasive fear of overpopulating the world swept America and other countries in the late 1960s and ‘70s, but a revolution in food production turned predictions of a population bomb into a worldwide boom. Subscribe: video begins with social science experts of yesteryear who made many predictions that exponential growth in human populations would result in overpopulation, starvation and eventually extinction. This theory was encapsulated in Paul Ehrlich's book The Population Bomb. However, these fears were never realized.
