We're going into an extraordinary fashion week in the backdrop of
being in National Mourning for the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The designers in London never disappoint and it's why the international audiences
come to London to see the very best creative emerging talent from around the world right here.
It was all about how we felt with the recent news and mourning and
what that really means and that sombre kind of beautiful moment.
It was really crucial that we created something that felt poignant to reflect the time right now.
The lack of music was the soundtrack here, the floor creak,
the sound of the metal jingling and it really did keep you on the edge of your seat.
This platform and BFC, they've given me the best possible place I want to showcase my works.
Global audiences definitely are taking notice and also buying from very young designers.
The world does look to us for talent.
It's nice to be back, the vibe is great. Every single season you always feel that kind of energy.
We've got an amazing sustainable eco-conscious community and I think
for all of us just to encourage, share each other's voices.
It's very much about a circular idea of sustainability and also everything needing
to be biodegradable. The fashion, the culture, the people, it's so inspiring.
London's such an inclusive place where anyone can just be who they want to be.
It has forward ideas on androgyny, on gender and it's just welcoming.
It celebrates and accepts the different point of views that designers show here.
I feel like we're really beginning to make a change and it's really,
really nice to be able to see more kind of strides to be more inclusive.
The most integrated multicultural city in the world
and I think that that influences fashion in such an incredible way.
Fashion is always an optimistic place to be and I think the business is doing extremely well.
It's a global fashion week and it really unites homegrown British labels.
We needed the joy of fashion and I'm really proud of the way London comes together.
