Stella McCartney | Brand of the Year | British Fashion Awards 2015

Ladies and gentlemen, it's the prestigious British Brand of the Year. Here to present the award is none other and I am so excited to be introducing these two people onto the stage, ladies and gentlemen. It's the absolutely fabulous fashion PR legend Hedina Monsoon and art director Patsy Stone. They are so sweet. Thank you. I'm in my spiritual home. I don't know. Thank you for that lovely welcome. Thank you. You know, I'd just like to say a little shout out to all my homies. And I know Patsy's got some advice for the up and coming designer and model. Yeah, you can never have enough hats and gloves and shoes. Cheers. So the winner of Best Brand is actually someone who's going to be my very best friend one day. It's someone who's literally come from nowhere, who has been like making bags out of just the pubic hair of wheatgrass for years. It's Stella. Yeah, Stella. Let me in your shop one day. If you play your cards right, I'll build you a bathroom. I'm a bit nervous as well. I have to say everyone's been so smooth and brilliant. Nobody's been drunk. I would like to thank everyone so much. I am really here as the face and without an incredible team alongside me I would not stand here tonight. I want to thank them for giving me the freedom to be a working mother. That's something I'm really aware is a massive blessing and not afforded to all women around the world. I'm so lucky. I am so lucky that each day I get to create and have the freedom to stand shoulder to shoulder with men, something so few women have the chance to do. I would also like to thank my wonderful husband. Just that honestly everyone else in the room that supports me and the brand because we're so proud to be British and we really represent this nation when we go abroad.
