Today we're going to take a quick look at some news out of Europe regarding the 2023 Honda Africa
Twin 1100 and what's changing for the coming year. Now American Honda hasn't made their official
announcement just yet for the 2023 Africa Twin lineup but this will give us a taste of what's
potentially coming down the pipeline when it comes to colors and just what changes were thrown its
way for next year. First up we have some new colors being thrown in the mix with the addition of this
new matte iridium gray metallic option on the Adventure Sports version of the Africa Twin
replacing the matte ballistic black metallic from last year with the absolutely beautiful pearl
glare white tri-color returning for this year. Then we move over to the standard version of the
Africa Twin where a matte ballistic black metallic returns for this year but with some tweaks. The
rear subframe is now black instead of red and the graphics pop a little more thanks to a lighter
finish. Then we have the tri-color that isn't called pearl glare white anymore but has now
been dubbed as glint wave blue metallic tri-color. With this change Honda's throwing more blue on it
as you can see by the upper fairing and front fender with the tail getting some more blue there
as well when compared to last year. And then we have all faithful returning with no changes
grand prix red. Now with that being said what will American Honda give us here in the USA for the
2023 Africa Twin model lineup when it comes to color choices? Well let me rephrase that. What
color will we get as we didn't have any choices in 2022? We only had grand prix red for the standard
Africa Twin models and the pearl white tri-color for the Adventure Sports which leads me to a
question for you guys. If American Honda only imports one color yet again for each Africa Twin
what color do you want to see? Now let's talk about the new 2023 Africa Twin changes. Were there
any real mechanical updates or were they all aesthetic? If you guessed the latter you're
correct. That's to be expected though they just threw a host of changes at it in 2020 and then a
couple of slight tweaks in 2022 so it'll be a bit longer before we see any real drastic updates or
changes thrown at this platform. With that being said though what do you guys think about the new
iridium gray color option and the changes to the tri-color? And what mechanical changes would you
like to see Honda throw at the Africa Twin 1100 lineup in the near future? Let me know what you
guys are thinking down in the comments section and I'll be joining in on the conversation too.
Thanks again for watching and supporting all of this. I really appreciate it guys
and we'll see you in the next one.
