XX Double Slider Vs XO Single Slider Windows

Hey guys, Sean with American Window Concepts. Today, I want to show you the difference between an XX window, double slider versus a XO, single slider. Here we go. On a single slider, this is what you're gonna see most times. Whenever we're dealing with customers who are doing just true replacements, we're usually just putting in a single sliding window. And a single slider means exactly like it sounds. You have one side that opens up, the other side is always gonna stay fixed. So you'll have basically half screen. Now, when we look up here, you can see that this window has a complete full screen. We've done a lot of content on single sliders. So I'm gonna focus today on the double XX style window. So with this, what I've already told you, you get a full screen pull rail from one side to the other. And it comes with this bar here to support the screen top and bottom. This is going to come with a full screen because both sides operate. And so you'll get a pull rail like you do on most other Anlin windows. And then this bar here is going to keep support. As these windows get bigger and bigger, up to about 96 inches wide, you're gonna have more surface of screen. And this thing is gonna want an hourglass on you. And the way to combat against that is you add a stabilizer bar here. So we're going to pull this out so I can show you more about this window. So let's set this aside. This is a deeper window frame. Really just because there's gonna be two tracks and the window is operating two single sliding windows. So here we go. I'm gonna go around and I'm gonna show you how this works. This side slides like a normal window, but then so does this side. So the cool thing about that, if you lived upstairs and you wanted to be able to easily clean your windows, you can just pull out the sashes. So one's out, set it aside, open the other, lift it up and in. And now you can easily clean your windows. So in this window system, you're gonna have both the track inside and outside to allow for the window to slide completely over. So with both of them in, you can only slide it halfway. So when you have one in, it'll slide all the way one way or the other. There's nothing impeding it. The other one back in. Weather stripping all over the place on these windows. So anywhere vinyl is touching vinyl, you're going to have weather stripping to help stop sound and dirt. So this is just a really neat setup. It's just an option for people. Sometimes we've done where we've done XX windows up top and XL windows down below because the customer wanted ease of cleaning. This just offered that. Double slider, XX window. Hopefully this helps.
