This comes as protests were held around the globe over the weekend against Elon Musk and his
role in reducing the government and its workforce. NTD correspondent Jason Blair has more.
Organizers of the so-called Tesla takedown movement designated Saturday as a global
day of action for demonstrations against Elon Musk's role with Doge.
Hundreds of protests were held in the U.S., Canada and in Europe.
And this is not about efficiency, this is about reducing efficiency.
There have been reports of Teslas being vandalized over the weekend and in recent weeks.
A fire destroyed 17 Tesla cars at a dealership in Italy. Fire officials say that they are still
investigating but so far have not ruled out arson. Last week a man was charged with felony arson for
setting fire to Tesla vehicles at a body shop in Las Vegas, damaging five cars.
And one final cautionary message for individuals who are contemplating similar attacks,
there's nothing courageous or noble about firebombing private property
and terrorizing your local community.
On March 24th, the FBI launched a task force to crack down on Tesla attacks.
I totally understand if somebody doesn't want to buy a product,
yeah, it's up to you, it's free country, you know, but you don't have to burn it down,
okay? It's a bit much, that's somebody else's car, leave it alone.
Members of the Tesla takedown movement say that they are peaceful and oppose violence and
vandalism. And Elon Musk is also visiting the CIA headquarters on Monday to meet with CIA director
John Ratcliffe. A CIA spokesperson told Politico that Musk was invited by Ratcliffe and the two
will be discussing government efficiency. This is Musk's first visit to the CIA headquarters
and looks to be Musk's and Ratcliffe's most significant meeting so far.
