Lyric:
I saw a new heav-en and a new earth,
for the first heav-en and the first earth had passed a-way.
Al-so there was no more sea.
Then I, John, saw the ho-ly cit-y,
New Je-ru-sa-lem,
com-ing down out of heav-en from God,
pre-pared as a bride a-dorned for her hus-band.
And I heard a loud voice from heav-en say-ing,
“Be-hold,
the tab-er-na-cle of God is with men,
and He will dwell with them,
and they shall be His peo-ple.
And God Him-self will be with them,
and be their God.
And God will wipe a-way all tears from their eyes;
there shall be no more death,
nei-ther sor-row, nor cry-ing,
nei-ther shall there be an-y more pain:
for the for-mer things have passed a-way.”
Then He who sat up-on the throne said,
“Be-hold,
I am mak-ing eve-ry-thing new!”
And He said to me,
“Write this down,
for these words are, these words are trust-wor-thy and true.”
And He said to me,
“It’s done!
I Am the Al-pha and the O-me-ga,
the Be-gin-ning and the End.
To the thirst-y I’ll give wa-ter
with-out cost from the spring of the wa-ter of life.
He who o-ver-comes shall in-her-it all things,
and I will be his God,
and he shall be My son.
But the cow-ard-ly,
un-be-liev-ing, pol-lut-ed,
mur-der-ers, whore-mong-ers,
sor-cer-ers, i-dol-a-ters, all li-ars,
they will be con-signed to the
fier-y lake of burn-ing sul-fur
which is the sec-ond death.”
