[User Guide] How to Create Shorts Using the Gan Jing World App

1. Download the Gan Jing World mobile app. Find it by searching for GanJingWorld in the Apple App Store or Android Google Play.

2. On your phone, tap the Gan Jing World app icon to enter the homepage. Tap the "+" icon located at the bottom of your screen and then select “Create a short.”

3. Add a video you have already recorded or record a new video. For recording a new short, choose between 15 seconds, 60 seconds, and 90 seconds. You can also choose to add sounds to your short, along with a variety of options for how you want to capture your video (slow mo/time lapse (1x button), timer, filters, effects, etc.)

4. When you are ready to start recording, press the big circle icon at the bottom center of your screen. You will see an orange bar moving in a circle, which tells you how much time you have been recording. The white porting will let you know how much time you have left to record. Press the button again to pause the recording. From here, you can either go to the editing section by pressing “Next” or you can press the button again to resume recording.

5. If you decide to resume recording, please be aware that the recording will continue from where your camera is facing now, so in the video, it would be like jumping to another scene.

6. Once you select “Next”, you will be presented an unedited preview of your video, and you will have 5 different ways of editing your short: Sound, Text, Sticker, Effects, and Voice Over. For now, the edits will apply to the entirety of the short.

7. Explore through the options, most of them take a simple tap to take effect! All options will provide a preview for your review.

8. If you select “Text”, a box will appear where you will see 4 different symbols appearing in each corner of the box. For the top left corner, simply tap it to delete the text. Drag the bottom left corner to move the box. Drag the top right corner to rotate the text box. Drag the bottom right corner to resize the text box.

9. When you are done editing your short, click the “Next” button located at the top right of your screen to finalize your short.

10. Enter a title in the caption field and write a description. You can also add hashtags to participate in various in-app hashtag activities. Then select a category, language, and visibility option for your content (public or private). Finally, click "Upload" in the bottom right corner or “Save as draft” if you would like to finish it later.
