Gan Jing Kids is introducing Kids Mode. Tap "Kids Mode" on the Gan Jing Kids home page, and the screen turns into a space built for children: seven big picture categories, a clean layout, and videos that lead back to the Library when they end. Kids can explore on their own, and parents can relax.
To leave Kids Mode, a grown-up has to answer a quick question first. Kids stay in their own safe space, and adults can get back to the full Gan Jing Kids in seconds.
Why we built Kids Mode
Most parents know the moment. You put on one learning video, look away, and your child has already tapped into something else. Kids are curious by nature, and the more buttons a screen has, the easier it is to drift.
Kids Mode starts from a simple idea: take the Gan Jing Kids promise of safety first, joyful learning and character first, and make it something a child can use alone. We removed the extra menus, notifications and comment sections. What's left is what kids actually need: lessons to learn, and stories worth watching.
Six things to know about Kids Mode
1. Seven categories, clear at a glance
Seven big icons across the top lead to seven kinds of content: Chinese, English, Vocabulary, Stories, STEM, Sing Along and Shows. Even kids who can't read yet can choose by picture. No searching, no getting lost.

2. Chinese characters: watch, trace, write
The Chinese category turns the International Chinese course into character cards. Every character has a stroke-order animation and three steps: Watch, Trace and Write. Pinyin and Zhuyin can be switched or turned off, and explanations switch between Chinese and English.

3. English reading plus vocabulary games
The English category features classic fables such as The Lion and the Mouse, The Hare and the Tortoise and The Crow and the Pitcher. The Vocabulary category has five games: Hear it, spell it; Read it, spell it; Match the pairs; Drag to spell; and Find the words. Kids can tap any English word to hear it.

4. STEM, stories and songs in one place
The STEM category features Wonder Together, an original Gan Jing Kids series that answers the questions kids love to ask, like "Why can we see ourselves in a mirror?" Stories and Shows include Monkey King Adventures, and Sing Along has Kiki Storybirds and Leo & Friends Sing Along.

5. A video page built for focus
When a video plays in Kids Mode, the screen shows just the video and its title, with no comment section. Below are the next episodes in the series and a "Back to Library" button, so kids return to learning when the video ends.

6. A grown-up check keeps kids in their safe space
The "Parents" button in the top-right corner opens a quick check: answer a multiplication question to leave Kids Mode. Little ones can't wander out by accident, and adults can get out in seconds. Lessons can also be filtered by grade, and the interface is available in 12 languages.

Joyful for kids, reassuring for parents
| For kids | For parents |
|---|---|
| Choose by picture and explore without getting lost | No need to sit beside them, tapping for them |
| Lessons and stories live in one place | When a video ends, kids head back to the Library |
| Game-style practice builds confidence in Chinese and English | No comment sections, so no messages from strangers |
| Switch between Chinese and English, Pinyin and Zhuyin anytime | A grown-up check guards the exit |
For busy parents, Kids Mode lets kids explore on their own while adults stay at ease. Kids choose for themselves, and every choice is a lesson or story picked with children in mind.
What parents and teachers say
"Just like feeding our children healthy food, what we, as parents, allow them to view has a direct effect on their character, seeing as they often act out what they see. If we wish them to develop a taste for ideas that uphold the good and noble, beautiful and worthwhile, then Gan Jing Kids is the digital platform to choose."
— Jessica Kneipp, mother of two
"A sixth-grade student told me, 'This is the best program I've ever seen, and I want my parents to get it for me.' Gan Jing Kids also teaches kindness, respect, gratitude and responsibility while still having fun. As an educator, I highly recommend you give it a try."
— Leejun Taylor, New York public school teacher
