Federal prosecutors in Washington state call on election officials on Oct. 27 to segregate ballots cast by more than 400 individuals who appear to be improperly registered to vote, according to federal data. The U.S. Attorney’s Offices for Washington’s Eastern and Western Districts say many of those identified are lawful permanent residents, or green card holders, who are not eligible to vote in U.S. elections.
