President Donald Trump held seperate high stakes meetings Tuesday with Israeli leaders and Ukrainian leaders. The talks come as the U.S. and Iran negotiate during a pause in strikes, while Ukraine is becoming increasingly tied to the wider Iran conflict. Trump also delivered remarks at the National Cathedral for the late senator Lindsey Graham, remembering him as “a man who gave America the full measure of his good and mighty heart until that heart itself just gave out.”

This is MTV Evening News, live from our global headquarters in New York City.
Here's Keri Dutst.
Good evening.
Thank you for joining us tonight.
At Washington National Cathedral, President Trump honoring the late Senator Lindsey Graham
as a true American original.
We now go live to NTD's White House correspondent Mari Otsu.
She is at the North Lawn.
Mari, good evening.
What can you tell us about the day?
Hey, Keri, good evening to you.
Yeah, that's right.
Well, many lawmakers and many world leaders, in fact, today gathered at Washington National
Cathedral, which is really a testament to the late Senator Lindsey Graham's stature
on the world stage.
And President Trump himself, in a very wide-ranging eulogy there, highlighted what he called the
late senator's singular ability to unite lawmakers across the aisle.
But President Trump also got a bit personal there, sharing an anecdote about how their
friendship did not get off to the best start in 2016, when they were both on the campaign
trail together in the cathedral.
The president telling the story of how he publicly disclosed Senator Graham's cell phone
number on the campaign trail, even reciting the number there in the cathedral.
The president going on to say, though, that his one-time presidential arrival turned quickly
into an ally, saying, quote, that Lindsey was the first person to make you laugh and
one of the last people that you'd ever really want to upset.
Take a listen.
So, naturally, I did something that I shouldn't have done.
I shared his personal cell phone number with the millions of people that happened to be
watching that particular day.
But it was Lindsey who had the last laugh, because while I blew up his phone for one
day, we became great friends.
And Lindsey did not stop calling me for the next 10 years.
It was not easy.
President Trump honoring Senator Lindsey Graham as a giant of the Senate, calling him a true
American original who rose from a small-town South Carolina pool hall to become a force
in Washington and around the world.
The president honoring Graham's humor, toughness, unwavering service, including 33 years in
uniform and his proudest legacy, raising his sister Darlene after their parents' deaths.
From their rocky start to longtime friendship, President Trump eulogizing Graham as a man
who never quit and who's now reunited with his parents and the Lord.
Yet, while he was always quick to laugh, no one ever doubted the gravity of his mission.
And above all, Lindsey Graham believed in a strong America.
It's a testament to his towering impact that among those mourning him here today are leaders,
presidents, prime ministers from all over the globe.
And among those world leaders gathered at the Washington National Cathedral were Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, each of whom
met with President Trump for around an hour at the White House before the funeral.
The meeting with Netanyahu, their first face-to-face meeting after the U.S. and Israel launched
strikes against Iran.
The White House calling both of those meetings positive and productive, with Zelensky thanking
the president for his efforts to advance peace between Russia and Ukraine, saying the president
and I discussed licenses for Patriot interceptor production and several other ideas that could
help.
These meetings taking place as the U.S. pauses strikes against the regime with President
Trump pushing for diplomacy.
The president saying that some in the GOP are encouraging him to finish the job, but
he's concerned about striking a delicate balance and would like to avoid destroying
Iran's civilian infrastructure as much as possible.
I think about 91 million people without power, without bridges would have to live.
And it's a very, very delicate balance.
So I think we have a very strong position right now.
They know I'm going to do that if they don't make a deal.
The bridges are going to be gone literally in less than a, I would say in two hours,
most of the bridges, the major bridges will all be gone.
And the power plants in one day.
And, you know, if I can avoid doing that, I'd like to do that.
Now, Kerry, it does remain to be seen how these talks with Zelensky and Netanyahu could
potentially shift President Trump's policy as the U.S. is still mulling whether to strike
Iran. Back to you.
Thanks for that update, Mari.
In memorial services in D.C.
today, of course, honoring the life and legacy of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, President
Trump and other officials remember Graham's service, his bipartisanship, as well as his
humor. And Denise, Fiona Gee has more on the ground.
I'm outside the National Cathedral here in Washington, D.C., where the funeral for the
late Senator Lindsey Graham has concluded.
President Donald Trump was in attendance, as well as a slew of other officials, including
Vice President J.D.
Vance, as well as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu.
President Trump actually spoke during the service.
Remembering the career and legacy of the late senator.
Take a look. Lindsey first stormed into Washington with the Republican Revolution of
1994, becoming the first Republican to win his House district in 120
years. That was Lindsey.
In 2002, he ran for the Senate in what should have been a
loss, and he swept to an easy victory.
Lindsey quickly became a master at maneuvering and one of the world's great.
Legislative bodies, he secured record funding for our military as a budget
committee chairman, he delivered the largest investment in border security in history, and
last year he shepherded the passage of the largest tax cuts in American
history. The great, big, beautiful bill.
So there's the president listing just some of the accomplishments during Senator Lindsey
Graham's 30 something odd years on Capitol Hill, but Senator Lindsey Graham was no
stranger to personal hardship.
He lost both of his parents within a 15 month span when he was in his very early 20s,
leaving him to adopt and raise his younger sister, Darlene Graham, on his own.
But he never let any of that hardship get in the way of his goals.
He was actually the first person in his family to attend college out of college.
He actually started serving in the Air Force, and this is something that a lot of people
don't know. But he was a member of the military for 33 years.
In 1995, he was elected as a representative for his home state of South Carolina, and
he came here onto Capitol Hill.
He served as a representative until 2003, when he then won the election to become a
senator for South Carolina.
And during this period of time, while he was serving on Capitol Hill, he was serving in
the military, in the Air Force Reserve at the same time.
Here's President Trump at the funeral calling Senator Lindsey Graham a tough cookie.
But no matter how heated things got in Washington, virtually everyone, Republican or
Democrat, liked Lindsey.
Well, not everybody, but it sounds good.
Not everybody. It was a tough cookie.
OK, I have to be I have to veer from this.
He was a tough cookie, darling, but he was beautiful.
And there's there's the president bringing some humor into the funeral service, which
I'm sure that the late senator would have appreciated because that's actually a theme
we've been seeing throughout these remembrances for the late senator.
Many people have brought up the fact that Senator Graham had a great sense of humor.
We heard that from the vice president earlier today.
We heard that from sanity, a Senate majority leader, John Thune, as well, all of them
talking about how hard Senator Graham made them laugh all the time.
J.D. Vance, the vice president, actually sharing one time where he was about to make a
campaign speech. But right before he went on, Senator Graham made him laugh so hard his
stomach ached and he had a hard time getting through that speech.
But apart from humor, Senator Graham is known for his bipartisanship, his ability to
stand firm in whatever beliefs he believes are right and best for American people
without worrying too much about party lines.
We heard Justice Elena Kagan bring this up a few days ago when she was remembering the
late senator mentioning a moment during her confirmation hearing back in 2010 when the
senator admits all this very intense questioning, asked Kagan, what did you do for
Christmas? And that really broke the tension for a little bit, got everyone laughing.
And he was actually one of the few Republicans who ended up voting to confirm that
justice. He was also chair of the Senate Budget Committee.
And before that, he was chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee between 2019 and 2021.
Now, when it comes to policy, Senator Graham was a very big supporter of Ukraine and
Israel. And you can see that in the fact that the leaders of both of those countries came
to his funeral today. And in fact, tonight, the Senate is scheduled to hold a procedural
vote for the Lindsey O.
Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026, which was named in honor of the
senator. Now, we also heard from the senator's niece during the funeral who brought in a
much more personal aspect to the senator's life, telling stories about how no matter
how busy the senator got, even if he was on a way to a very important meeting on Capitol
Hill, if a family member called, he was always there to pick up the phone and make sure
everything was all right.
And earlier today on Capitol Hill in the Capitol Rotunda, Vice President J.D.
Vance did a good job of summarizing the late senator's legacy.
Watch. So I choose to remember Lindsey Graham as a man who could disagree with you
without being disagreeable.
I choose to remember Lindsey Graham as a person who could fight with you on one issue,
but fight for you on another issue.
I remember Lindsey Graham as a man who loved people, and because he loved people, he
was willing to reason with them, to respect them and ultimately to persuade them.
Now that the funeral services in Washington, D.C., have concluded, the late senator will
be flown back to his home state of South Carolina for another funeral service tomorrow
before being laid to rest.
Reporting from Washington, D.C., Fiona Gee, NTD News.
Thank you, Fiona. Next, Dr.
Anthony Fauci will testify under oath for the Senate Homeland Security Committee
Wednesday morning. More than eleven hundred pages of his private diary have now been
made public. They're raising questions about how he responded to secret intelligence and
whether his private assessments matched what he told the American people.
And it is Chris Bob reports.
Took us about eight months to dig these out of 11 separate servers.
Or they had been sequestered and secreted.
Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Rand Paul is
expected to question Dr.
Anthony Fauci on Wednesday about newly released entries concerning COVID-19, China
and conflicting U.S.
intelligence. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F.
Kennedy, Jr., told Fox News Monday that his agency turned Fauci's diary records over to
Senator Paul and Senator Ron Johnson ahead of Wednesday's testimony.
On May 7th, 2021, Fauci reacted to a report about Chinese military documents discussing
biological warfare.
Quote, This just does not make any sense, since why would someone want to make an agent
that could equally infect your own population?
Something is wrong with this report.
I will have to follow up on it.
Less than one month later, on June 4th, Fauci received a CIA briefing concerning
intelligence collected from inside China.
According to Fauci's entry, CIA official Camille Hartman said the agency had
intercepted Chinese conversations and obtained information from human sources.
Quote, Her major point was that she feels the Chinese have not been transparent about
what was going on in their labs since there were no reports publicly of what they found
out from intercepts.
Fauci wrote that the intelligence included the transfer of pangolin viruses from
researchers in Beijing to Wuhan.
CIA officials believe those viruses were being used in research involving genetically
modified mice.
The diary says the agency also had information from sources indicating that the Chinese
military was conducting unknown experiments in Wuhan.
Fauci described the CIA personnel as, quote, naive and uninformed, and wrote that he
felt as though he was being questioned.
Quote, I was wondering at one point whether I should have a lawyer present with me.
There is something very fishy about all of this.
About four weeks later, Fauci received another briefing from National Security Council
officials and addressed conflicting assessments from the FBI and NSA.
Quote, There were no new surprises for me in the briefing, except that it became clear
that the FBI had no idea what they're talking about since they are convinced that the
origin of COVID-19 is from a laboratory leak.
The reasons they give do not make any sense.
In contrast, the NSA gave some reasonable hypotheses leaning heavily towards a natural
jump of species in the environment.
Fauci added, quote, I spent some time explaining to Mar and Beth my own theories that the
Chinese act like they're covering up something even when they have nothing to cover up.
The entries show Fauci favored natural emergence, dismissing the FBI's reasoning.
Asked on Fox News Tuesday whether he would have fired Fauci knowing what he knows now,
President Trump said, Well, I would have fired him, but again, I didn't listen to him.
So when he was with Biden, he was like to God.
When he was with me, he wasn't even close.
Dr. Fauci has not publicly responded to the latest disclosures.

And Dr. Anthony Fauci's diary revealing what the intel community briefed him on about
those origins of COVID-19.

Just after evening news.
Next, newly declassified intelligence reports are shedding light on a Chinese Communist
Party influence campaign in the U.S.
The documents outline alleged efforts to shape public opinion, lobby policymakers and
amplify divisions leading into the 2020 election.
And it is Washington correspondent Jack Bradley reports.
The Chinese Communist Party's influence in the U.S.
may be far larger than Americans realize.
Newly declassified intelligence reports, along with federal lobbying disclosures, show
that the Chinese regime and Chinese regime linked entities spent more than 100 million
dollars in foreign registration and lobbying expenses in 2025 alone.
These are Chinese agents paying lobbyists to influence policy in Washington, and 100
million dollars is just what's been recorded.
The State Department in 2023 said that China spends billions of dollars annually on
foreign information manipulation around the world.
And then there's groups like the Chinese Students and Scholars Association and the
United Front Work Department, which don't need to file disclosures even though they
operate as Chinese Communist Party fronts.
For example, several American journalists have been gifted expense paid curated trips
to China and then report afterward positively on the CCP.
The newly released intelligence documents also show CCP influence in the 2020
election. They show Chinese cyber operations working to influence public opinion by
amplifying political and social divisions in the U.S.
through social media platforms.
The documents say that the efforts magnified racial tensions and partisan
disagreements. The intelligence reports also warn that foreign adversaries, including
China as well as Russia, Iran and North Korea, possess capabilities to compromise
voting machines.
We know that they can change voter registration and your vote.
President Trump has also said that intelligence officials withheld key information
from not just him, but also former President Biden related to these foreign influence
operations. Yet those responsible for sounding the alarm instead kept the
information secret and hidden.
Now, following these disclosures, the acting director of national intelligence, Bill
Pulte, says that he's cut 30 percent of the workforce of the intelligence community.
He says this is the fifth and near final round of terminations and that the mission of
the intelligence community should be to protect the American people, not the political
whims of the bloated and corrupt elite class.

A seven point one magnitude earthquake hit southern Japan today, causing extensive
damage. Dozens of people are reported missing as rescue teams respond to the affected

Surveillance footage showing trucks rocking side to side as a seven point one
magnitude earthquake hit Japan's southern Kumamoto prefecture on Tuesday.
Other footage released by Japan's Ministry of Defense shows smoke rising from a quake
hit area in southern Japan and extensive damage seen on a shopping mall as the
earthquake caused the second floor to collapse.
Kyoto News Agency, citing local police, says 20 to 30 employees were still missing
while several other people were rescued.
The news agency adding that about 90 people were taken to local hospitals for
treatment. Other footage showing buildings on fire as firefighters tried to put out
the flames and a train car appeared to have been knocked off the tracks by the
earthquake. And a passenger recorded this footage as a high speed train made an
emergency stop after the earthquake hit a local resident sharing his experience.
How can I put it? I felt as if my body was hovering midair.
So for a moment, I didn't realize it was an earthquake.
It was only when I saw the wall collapse that it dawned on me that it was an
earthquake. Aerial footage shot from a helicopter showing a bridge that collapsed
into the water and a damaged shrine.

The teen who pleaded guilty last week to a deadly Georgia school shooting was
sentenced to life without the possibility of parole today.
Your crimes do reflect permanent incorrigibility, and I will send you to life
without parole for each of the malice murders that you committed.
Sixteen year old Colt Gray declined to speak to the court before his sentencing in
Winder, Georgia.
Gray shot and killed four people and wounded nine others at Appalachee High
School back in September of twenty twenty four.
The teen's father, Colin Gray, will be sentenced on Thursday.
Earlier this year, he was found guilty of murder and manslaughter charges for
purchasing the rifle for his son as a Christmas gift.
Authorities say Colin Gray left the weapon unsecured in their house despite
warnings that Colt was a danger to others.

Trial against Metta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, is now underway in
Tennessee. The state alleges the company misled the public about Instagram safety while
designing features that kept teens and children hooked.
And it is Christina Corona has the details.
A jury in Tennessee is hearing the state's lawsuit against Metta.
The state alleges Metta violated the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act by misleading the
public about Instagram safety.
During opening statements, attorneys argued that Metta prioritized keeping teens engaged
to maximize profits.
They also alleged Metta disregarded its own internal research on Instagram's impact on
young users. The state's first witness was former Metta engineering director Arturo
Behar. He testified that Metta conducted internal surveys showing some teens reported
anxiety, problematic use and other negative experiences on the platform.
Behar testified that features including infinite scroll, autoplay, algorithm driven
recommendations, push notifications, likes and other social rewards were designed to
keep users engaged longer.
Behar noted that he emailed Metta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, raising concerns about harm to
young users on Instagram.
He said he offered recommendations to make the platform safer, but he never heard back.
He also testified that proposed safety changes often fail to gain management approval,
saying the approval process was brutal for anything having to do with safety.
Behar added that Metta did have the ability to disable features like infinite scroll and
autoplay for children, but did not do so.
He said, quote, there's no technical reason they couldn't turn these things off for
kids. Metta denies the allegations, saying it has been transparent about the risks teens
face online. The company says it has developed tools to protect younger users such as
teen accounts and parental controls.
The trial is expected to last about seven weeks.

So I teased him the other day and I said, how come you never say that to me?
And he said, you're too old now.
Now that he's a grandfather, he says I love you to my son every time he sees him.

And of course, it meant so much to us too.
With the help of my father and having my son, that was all the motivation that I needed.

Welcome back to NTD Evening News.
I'm Kerry Dunst.
New York City's Mayor Zoran Mamdani takes another step to deliver his campaign promise
to create government-run grocery stores aimed at helping to address the high cost of
living. Joining us now is Jorge Gerisati.
He's president of the Economic Inclusion Group, which is a global think tank focused on
economic security, debanking and Venezuela's reconstruction.
Jorge, thank you for joining.
Let's jump in and listen to this recent announcement from the mayor.
Today, I am proud to announce a collection of essential staples that will be
predictably 30 percent cheaper at all five of our city-run grocery stores.
This core set of goods will include all fresh produce, meat and seafood, along with 20
other essential items like cheese, milk and bread.
Now, Jorge, of course, this all sounds great.
30 percent off food costs.
You're from Venezuela, which underwent a socialist takeover under Hugo Chavez and then
Nicolas Maduro.
Do you see any similarities here in the talk tracks?
Yeah, there's a lot of similarities because the fact is that groceries have been
increasing exponentially, especially since the pandemic in the U.S.
and internationally. As a result, you have a lot of people interested in finding a
solution. But the solution is never to do this type of policies in
Venezuela, in Cuba, in the former Soviet Union.
We have seen what happens when you have government running this type of operations.
When you have government running supermarkets, you have more corruption, you have
more fiscal waste and you start eroding the market.
Because imagine you're a supermarket, you're trying to compete.
Your margins are already very thin.
And if the government start pushing their own chains, you will be out of business.
And then eventually then prices will be even higher as a result.
So the resemblance is that you cannot have really an economy run by government, by
politicians. That's not the way it works.
Now, Jorge, the mayor says to address the concerns that you've pointed out, that they
will not sell pot prepared foods and that's to avoid hurting those small grocery
businesses. Do you think that's going to be enough to protect bodegas and private
grocery stores?
No, it's not enough.
What's going to happen with this supermarket run by government or these grocery
stores run by government is that you will have corruption, you will have waste, you
have more food insecurity as a result, and you will undermine markets.
The reality is that to solve this issue, which is a real problem, you need to do
other type of policies.
But if you focus on doing the bad policies, you cannot do the good policies.
And what are the good policies?
You need to have more competition.
You need to improve the logistics.
You need to make the markets work better, more efficient.
You also need to open up opportunities for young people to open their own bodegas,
their own chains.
You need to empower civil society.
And I think that's the difference.
There is some people who believe that solutions come from the top to the bottom.
They come from government.
And there's people who believe that the economic solutions that our countries need
in general is solutions that come from society, from empowering people, allowing
them to build. Just think about, for example, think about technology, how the
price of having cutting edge technology has been decreasing for all these decades.
So why this happens?
Because people, entrepreneurs have been empowered to deliver better services.
And, Jorge, if you've seen this firsthand with what happened in Venezuela and you
mentioned Cuba and the Soviet Union, why do you think people go for these, you
know, charismatic politicians who promise things like this?
People usually go for the solutions when they see no other alternative and when they
see that their paycheck is not enough, when they cannot afford groceries, when they
cannot afford rent and when their level of economic exclusion, economic insecurity
makes them they cannot sleep during the night.
So what happens is that these politicians, they tend to use this to their advantage and
to create this type of populist solution.
So what the people, what the people who believe in markets and who believe in freedom,
what they have to do is that they have to convince the population that their solutions
are the better solutions.
People throughout history repeat the same mistakes.
That's a sad part of also this reality, because think about it.
It has happened again and again with all these socialist policies.
They don't work.
Hopefully, New York is such a vibrant, technologically advanced entrepreneurial city
that they overcome this and that they see that a different path is the better path.
But if not, we are already seeing what happened with other countries.
Venezuela used to be one of the 20 richest countries in the world and now is the poorest
in the region. Argentina used to be the richest country in the region and it became one
of the poorest. So no country is really immune to bad economic policies.
Jorge, Jerry Asadi, thank you so much for sharing your personal account and your
analysis. Thank you.
Thank you. Next, the new California bill seeks to give second chances to low level
shoplifters through programs like job training and clearing arrest records.
But local community leaders fear it will increase crime and burden the state with higher
costs. And it is David Lam reports.
California community leaders, district attorneys and law enforcement are calling on
citizens and lawmakers to oppose a new bill.
It would erase arrest records for alleged shoplifters who completes diversion programs.
It is anticipated that the number of retail theft cases will substantially increase.
The repeat theft patterns will be harder to identify and document over time, which will
weaken the ability to establish the history necessary for enhanced repeat theft
prosecution. According to the diversion bill, the court can order defendants charged with
retail theft to partake in workforce programs, including but not limited to workforce
development, vocational training and employment placement programs.
Assembly Bill 21 08 creates pathways into the workforce, whether it's vocational or
apprenticeship programs to help lift individuals out of poverty and curb retail theft.
So let me be clear.
This bill excludes any theft that involves violence or threatened violence, organized
retail theft offenses and habitual repeat theft offenders.
Upon completion, the arrest will be deemed to have never occurred and can't be used to
deny jobs or other benefits.
While it's presented as a diversion bill, its practical effect is to weaken the repeat
offender accountability that California's overwhelming voted to restore by allowing
theft related offenses to be dismissed through diversion.
In twenty twenty four, nearly 70 percent of California voters supported Proposition 36,
which increases penalties for crimes.
This was after a series of smash and grab shoplifting and property crimes struck
throughout the state. David Lamb, NTD News.
The Education Department is escalating its enforcement of parental rights policies in
schools with new actions against districts in Maryland and Michigan, following earlier
federal findings involving school districts in Kansas.
And it is Arlene Richards has the details.
The Trump administration is stepping up its fight with school districts over parental
rights, announcing on Monday new federal action against districts in Maryland and
Michigan. And this is a travesty that parents are not considered first and foremost in
charge of their children. They don't belong to the government.
They belong to their children.
The Education Department says the districts failed to provide parents with information
about their children's gender identity and classifying gender identity as confidential
medical information.
The policy is raising concerns about federal student privacy laws and parental rights.
This is really outrageous.
And to hide it from parents and actually create separate file folders so that when
parents ask to see their children's records that is being kept from them and it's being
done on purpose. And so we're just not going to stand for it.
The move follows similar federal action in other states.
In April, the Education Department announced that it had found four Kansas school
districts had violated federal law.
The department's findings in Kansas involved policies allowing schools to conceal from
parents whether their children are using different pronouns, going by different names
or even having different names printed on their diplomas.
Those districts were required to eliminate policies that were based on gender identity
rather than biological sex and make records involving gender identity available to
parents. McMahon said parents have the right to determine what their children's
education exposure is going to be and the Trump administration is going to enforce
it. Arlene Richards, NDD News.
President Trump demanding that the Senate stay in session until Republicans pass the
Save America Act.
This as the upper chamber is scheduled to go on summer recess on August 7th.
Why do I want the SAVE Act test to be done?
They shouldn't leave town.
I'm not going to stop them from doing it, but they should get the SAVE Act done.
If they don't get it done, it's going to be a very bad thing for the party.
In a recent post on Truth Social, President Trump calls on Senate Majority Leader John
Thune to terminate the filibuster.
That means getting rid of the Senate 60 vote threshold and allowing Republicans to pass
the Save America Act with just a simple majority.
Several Republican senators have said that they're willing to stay in D.C.
and get this bill across the finish line.
They include Senators Mike Lee, Ashley Moody and Jim Banks.
And should Congress pass the Save America Act?
And what do everyday Americans make of the widespread mail-in ballots?
NDD's Sam Wong was out on the National Mall in D.C.
to hear from the people. President Trump right now is urging the Senate to pass the Save
America Act. There's been a lot of talks, a lot of momentum.
Do you think Congress should pass the Save America Act?
Yes, I do. I think you need to show an I.D.
to go get tickets from a will call window.
You need an I.D.
to buy alcohol.
A whole bunch of other reasons.
And voting is such a sacred and important thing for our country that you should show an
I.D. for that as well.
Anything Trump wants, I don't want.
So that's a no.
Absolutely. I mean, we have to protect our voter integrity.
Otherwise, we don't have a country.
I don't I don't see why anyone doesn't understand that.
Voting is too important to have people that don't
belong to be here, be here and vote.
We have to have I.D. for many things in America.
So why not I.D. for voting?
I think they should pass the Save America Act.
It's one of our highest privileges as being an American citizen.
And it needs to be pure.
And it needs we need to have those that are citizens that are voting.
Do you think mail-in ballots should be widely distributed as wide as it is today?
It should be widely restricted.
It should be for people that need that that are working outside of the country,
for people that are in the military.
From what I understand, there are people that have been dead 20, 30 years.
Their ballots got mailed in and they're vote counted, but they're no longer alive.
So how does that how does that work?
As it is today, I think there's got to be some reform and some kind of middle ground there.
I think have more control over, you know, who who gets what,
you know, as far as in the mail, maybe a certified mailing system
or something to that effect.
I'm skeptical is when you hear about and they might be anecdotal,
but about, you know, like 3 a.m., the votes suddenly switch
because they get a lot of votes for one candidate or the other.
I kind of agree. It's very accessible currently.
And I think overseas military stuff like that would be correct.
Or if you're housebound.
But I think it is pretty there's a possibility of having some issues with it.
Not just our current president, but presidents in the past
have mentioned and stated very plainly and clearly that it will
it will cause a lot of fraud.
Why do we want fraudulent elections?
A breaking update on military operations involving Iran.

forces based in the Middle East.
The attack occurred at 545 p.m.

Hi, my name is Brady.
When I was born, my parents thought everything was OK.
My mom and dad were so excited to take me home.
I still get goosebumps telling this story.
Several days in, his skin started to become very cold and clammy.
We noticed that he had become blue around his mouth
and something was just very off.
Packed up as fast as we could.
Brady stopped breathing twice on the way to the pediatrician.
And that was one of the number one things that just haunts me to this day.
I was born with a congenital heart defect called aortic coarctation.
If my parents waited just one more hour to drive me to the hospital,
I would not be here today.
But thanks to research funded by the American Heart Association,
I had heart surgery that saved my life.
But not every kid is as lucky as me, which is why we need your help.

Wildfires continue to impact over a quarter million people in Spain and France.
Forests are extremely dry due to three heat waves
hitting the region so far this summer, with a fourth heat wave starting today.
And it is international correspondent Arian Pasdar has the latest.
New body cam footage on Tuesday shows French crews
battling a wildfire in a forest near Bordeaux.
The area near the city is covered by pine forests,
which become highly flammable when dry.
Drone footage shows the scale of the fire with smoke covering huge areas.
Temperatures on Tuesday are above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
as the fourth heat wave of this summer is starting.
They're expected to hit 100 degrees later this week.
Over 200,000 people had to be evacuated so far.
Some are now staying in makeshift shelters.
I'm surprised, but pleasantly so, because I feel we've been extremely well
looked after.
We've been welcomed and supported in absolutely every area where we might need
help. A separate fire is also ripping through neighboring Spain,
burning down the homes of some residents.
Practically everything here was burning.
It was very sad watching the cameras and seeing your house burned down
because this is my home after all.
The fire, which is burning near the capital city of Madrid,
is affecting villagers in the forest.
Firefighters are racing to contain it before the fourth heat wave
of this summer starts to really kick in.
The Spanish government is giving tax breaks and other benefits
to the communities hit by the fire so they can focus on helping the residents.
The days and hours ahead will be especially challenging, among other things,
because our meteorological agency has just warned us of a significant rise
in temperatures and a new heat wave.
The fire near Madrid has now become the country's largest in recorded history.
Monitors are recording increased particulate pollution in the capital city.
The Spanish prime minister says there are currently eight different wildfires
burning in different parts of the country.
So far, over a dozen people died due to the fires this year.

Next, Malaysian police have raided more than two dozen locations
hosting online scam schemes.
Authorities arrested over 300 suspects, seized around two hundred and forty
thousand dollars.
The Johor police chief said the July 15th operation
targeted two areas identified as hubs for call centers
running online fraud activities.
The suspects arrested were between 20 and 58 years old and included
three hundred and nine Chinese nationals, 19 Indonesians,
three Malaysians and four suspects from Myanmar.
Officers also seized nearly 1900 electronic devices
used to execute multimillion dollar romance and crypto scams.
Authority said the scams targeted victims in China, Indonesia,
Japan, Europe and in the US.
And a photographer captured a harrowing and heroic rescue
by a teenage lifeguard on a Southern California beach
that he said was the most intense he had ever witnessed.
Here's what happened.
Watch a heroic teenage lifeguard rescue a 10 year old swimmer
from monster waves in Southern California.
Video of the safe was captured on a beach in Santa Cruz
as huge waves battered the 16 year old as he tried to bring in the boy.
According to KSBW, several bystanders attempted to help,
but were also batted back by the intense crashing surf.
Eventually, another lifeguard assisted and the swimmer was brought safely
to the beach.
The boy was evaluated by paramedics and released to his parents,
according to the photographer who captured the stunning safe.
He said he hopes others will learn from him.
I've never seen a rescue this intense before.
We want to see people come out, have a good time, enjoy the weather,
but get home safely.
Safely on the beach is how and where a pilot made an unexpected landing
in Huntington Beach, California.
KCAL reports the small plane had just taken off
when the pilot says things went sideways.
We were in the process of just talking with LA Approach
and then the engine quit and I got out a call.
I just called Mayday, Mayday, Mayday.
The local beach provided a soft and secure spot for the impromptu landing,
which eyewitnesses described as perfect.
Finally, a happy ending to a dire situation near Hawaii,
where KGMB reports a California man was rescued
after being stuck adrift at sea for a month.
The man was attempting a solo trip across the Pacific
when his boat's mast snapped and he ran out of gas.
He said he drifted for weeks, surviving on oatmeal and fish
until he was spotted by a passing ship's crew who brought him aboard
and gave him clothes, food and a ride back to land.
In that teen lifeguard video went viral and President Trump praised the brave act.
He posts on X that he will invite the young man and his family to the White House.
President Trump is responding to his son, Eric Trump's post,
who suggests to give the 16 year old lifeguard the highest civilian honor.
Eric Trump writes, quote, This is truly the best of America.
And the president adds, quote, Very brave. He deserves it.
Hoover Dam in Nevada is temporarily closed to visitors due to emergency repair work.
The repairs affect access to the road through the area,
according to a post on the landmark's Facebook page.
A spokesperson with the Bureau of Reclamation says it's not known
how long the dam will be closed.
The dam and the power plant are not at risk.
