President Donald Trump is set to deliver a major prime-time address to the nation at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, delivering remarks on U.S. election integrity. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said at a press briefing that Trump will present facts and evidence that “will shock you if you have an honest eye.”
The administration says Iran is still talking with the United States and expressing interest in a deal. The U.S. military conducted airstrikes against Iran, entering the sixth consecutive day of strikes.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio hosts a ministerial meeting, bringing dozens of countries together to address the growing threat of political terrorism. Rubio said the media, universities, and institutions have a bias that downplays political violence if it comes from the left.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announces a record number of illegal immigrants were arrested in South Texas in a single day. This comes as Trump overturns a DHS directive, once again allowing ICE agents to conduct traffic stops—if one has a body camera.
Welcome to Entity Evening News.
Our top story tonight, in just a few hours, President Trump to deliver a primetime address
on elections.
What the White House says to expect, and why the president says the news doesn't get any
bigger than this.
Mari Otsu at the White House.
The Trump administration says the biggest terrorist threat is no longer what it was
after 9-11.
Attacks from organized far-left groups are now on the rise.
Officials from more than 60 countries have gathered at the State Department.
Deadly flooding is forcing rescues across central Texas as rivers continue to rise.
Meanwhile, Canadian wildfire smoke is blanketing the Northeast, creating unhealthy air quality
across New York City.
Christina Corona reports.
ICE announces a record-breaking number of illegal immigrants arrested in the Rio Grande
Valley in a single day.
This comes as President Trump overturns a DHS directive so that ICE agents can once
again make traffic stops.
Jason Perry has the details.
Protests are taking place in cities across Ukraine after the government removes the country's
defense minister just six months after he took office.
Ariane Pasdar has what we know about the possible reason for the dismissal.
And a former senior advisor to the Federal Reserve headed to prison.
He was convicted of making false statements to federal investigators about sharing restricted
information with Chinese intelligence operatives.
This is NTD Evening News, live from our global headquarters in New York City.
Here's Kerry Dunst.
Good evening.
Thank you for joining us tonight.
In just a few hours, President Trump will address the nation on elections.
The news, he says, doesn't get any bigger than this.
We now go live to NTD's White House correspondent, Mari Otsu.
She is at the North Lawn.
Mari, good evening.
What can we expect tonight?
Hey, Kerry.
Good evening to you.
Yeah, a really big night here at the White House.
Press Secretary Lovett today returned to the White House briefing podium for her first
time back since maternity leave, and she's confirming that President Trump tonight will
indeed address election integrity and specifically the 2020 election.
She's also urging every American across the nation to tune in.
Meanwhile, she's also urging all of the media to cover this honestly, saying that there
will be lots of facts and evidence that the president will reveal.
Take a look.
I think the American people will be relieved to hear what they are hearing from the president
of the United States and his commitment to transparency and the focus on the integrity
of our elections tonight.
I think all Republicans and Democrats should recognize this should be a nonpartisan issue.
If we don't have safe and secure elections in our country, we cannot have a country.
It is a vital part of our democracy, of our constitutional republic.
Sources tell NTD that President Trump's address will include alleged efforts by foreign countries,
particularly China, to interfere in American elections.
His remarks coming as the president actively pushes for the Save America Act's passage in
Congress, with lawmakers now attaching many elements of the act to the third reconciliation
bill.
We should have the safest and most secure elections in the history of the world.
And what the president will be speaking about tonight will show you that perhaps that is
not the case.
And we need to make some adjustments moving forward, including the Save America Act.
It's really, really big news.
And our country has to shape up.
But that's what we're going to be talking about Thursday is it doesn't get bigger because
without free and fair elections, you don't have a country.
The White House also pushing back on critics who say the speech should address economic
issues as we head into the midterms, highlighting the administration's actions on affordability.
The world's most famous sore loser will deliver a primetime presidential sour grapes address
to pursue his six-year-old grievances about the 2020 election, while his war in the Middle
East spirals out of control and the cost of living continues to rise for Americans
across the country.
For private sector workers, real wages have increased by roughly $1,000 since President
Trump took office, after falling nearly $3,000 during the previous administration.
Press Secretary Levitt saying President Trump could also address Iran tonight as Central
Command conducts a sixth consecutive night of strikes against the regime.
This comes in response to Iran repeatedly violating the ceasefire agreement with the
U.S. by striking commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran very much continues to talk to the United States of America and express that they want
to make a deal with us because they are suffering devastating blows on behalf of our United
States military.
But Kerry, all eyes are on President Trump, who will be addressing the nation at 9 p.m.
here from the East Room at the White House.
More details, I'm sure, will be revealed then.
Back to you.
Thank you, Mari, for that update.
And as Mari just said, the president's primetime address, less than three hours away now.
He's expected to present new findings about the 2020 election, and that's expected to
be the focus.
But are American elections at risk?
Don't miss the analysis tonight on Capitol Report with Steve Lance at 7 p.m.
Eastern, just after evening news.
Next, the Trump administration is launching a new international campaign against the growing
threat of far-left political violence and terrorism.
And to these Washington correspondent, Jack Bradley brings us more.
The Trump administration says the global threat of terrorism has changed.
Instead of focusing solely on radical Islamist groups, Secretary of State Marco Rubio is
urging allies to confront a growing wave of far-left political terrorism.
For far too long, however, our counterterrorism doctrine has had a blind spot, a blind spot
when it comes to extremist violence from the political left.
The State Department hosting leaders from more than 60 countries across Europe, Asia
and the Western Hemisphere to expand efforts, sharing intelligence and coordinating investigations.
Rubio says for years, academia and think tanks have considered terrorism by far-left
Marxist groups to be just an extreme outcome of overzealous means, but virtuous ends.
So many people in positions of power have repeatedly dismissed acts of violence and
even terrorism as legitimate forms of political expression so long as they served a left-wing
cause.
He points to the 2020 riots following the death of George Floyd, where police arrested
thousands.
But many Democrat-run city governments dropped or never pursued charges, and mainstream media
coverage at the time saying that protests were mostly peaceful.
Political violence carried out by far-left groups have increased in the US and Europe
since 2016, but it's still prevalent today.
Germany reported a 40 percent rise in far-left violence just last year, with Antifa carrying
out much of the attacks.
Officials say these extremist networks coordinate internationally, sharing funding, communications
and even training across multiple countries.
We will identify illicit funding, however artfully it is concealed.
We will dismantle the networks that sustain political terrorism, however respectable their
fronts may be.
At the same time, the State Department just announced a new policy that restricts visas
to members of designated foreign far-left terrorist groups.
That directs, for the first time in American history, all of our law enforcement and intelligence
agencies to work together to disrupt, identify, defund, debank, arrest and prosecute these
political terrorists that are operating in our country.
Last year, the State Department designated four groups as foreign terrorist organizations,
offering up to $10 million in rewards targeting their financial networks, and are even considering
adding more groups to the list.
For NTD News Washington, I'm Jack Bradley.
And two more Mexican cartels are now on the list of US designated terrorist groups.
This comes as the Trump administration continues to disrupt narco-terrorism networks in the
Western Hemisphere.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio announces that he has designated the Juarez cartel and the
Los Viagras as foreign terrorist organizations.
The Juarez cartel operates on the border with Texas, and it was responsible for killing
nine Americans in Mexico in 2019.
Los Viagras operates in a Western Mexican state.
Six other Mexican cartels have already been designated as terrorist groups, including
the notorious Sinaloa cartel.
Terror designations allow the US to take more aggressive action on the groups that freeze
their assets in the US.
Rubio says in a statement, quote, under President Trump's leadership, we will never stop fighting
against violent narco-terrorists from flooding our nation with deadly drugs.
And Immigration and Customs Enforcement announcing that they've arrested a record-breaking 238
illegal immigrants in a single day in the Rio Grande Valley.
And in another development, President Trump has overturned a DHS directive so that ICE
will once again be permitted to conduct traffic stops.
NDD's Jason Perry has the details.
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, announced a record-breaking 238 illegal
aliens arrested in a single day in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas.
ICE said the arrests were made in partnership with federal, state, and local law enforcement.
The arrests took place on June 18, and ICE just reported it on Tuesday.
Among those arrested were Jose Castillo-Mendoza, convicted of attempted kidnapping and sexual
battery, and Manuel Morales-Gueronimo, an alleged Pisces gang member convicted of assault
causing bodily injury.
Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt returned to the podium on Thursday,
detailing this week's arrest of criminal illegal immigrants.
A Mexican national convicted of continuous sexual abuse of a child in California, a Nicaraguan
national convicted of second-degree child molestation in Rhode Island, and a Mexican
national convicted of lewd acts with a child under 14 with force in California.
These are egregious crimes.
And again, I think we can all agree that none of you would want these individuals living
in your communities.
And you have this administration to thank that they are on their way back home.
In a recent development, White House Border Czar Tom Homan told reporters on Tuesday that
ICE agents were going to stop conducting traffic stops and that the policy would be reviewed
in light of two recent shootings.
However, on Wednesday, a White House official said that President Trump overturned the Homeland
Security Directive that would have stopped ICE agents from making traffic stops.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump praised ICE agents for their work and said,
We cannot give up one of ICE's most important and effective crime-fighting tools, the traffic
stop.
Once we do, we are playing right into the criminals' hands.
A reporter at the White House asked Levitt about the issue of ICE agents wearing body
cameras.
Over half of all ICE field offices now do have body cameras, and the remainder of the
field offices are expected within 60 days.
We expect to fully execute on the promise of body cams to all field offices across the
country very soon.
ICE says that you can report crimes and suspicious activity by calling 866-DHS-2ICE or completing
the online tip form at ICE.gov.

Keith Sonderling highlights his experience with fighting fraud during his confirmation
hearing to become Secretary of Labor.
NDD correspondent Jason Blair brings us the key takeaways.
Department of Labor plays a significant role in making sure that there's no fraud, because
all fraud is a theft on taxpayer dollars.
During his Senate confirmation hearing to become permanent Secretary of Labor, Acting
Secretary Keith Sonderling highlights the Department of Labor's aggressive push against
unemployment fraud.
What we saw in the unemployment system during COVID time, $135 billion was stolen, gone.
Social Security numbers were being stolen.
Millions of dollars were going out to people in jail, to dead people.
Sonderling also highlights his work as a member of the White House Task Force to Eliminate
Fraud, led by Vice President J.D. Vance.
I sent a letter to 53 governors and governors of territories.
We're telling the states, verify first and pay later.
During the hearing, Sonderling defending the transfer of education programs from the Department
of Education to the Department of Labor.
It makes zero sense that DOL, an agency whose expertise is in supporting wage earners and
job seekers, that it's being tasked now with taking over complex education programs.
I think it makes a lot of sense.
Our systems at the Department of Labor are more sophisticated based on prior reports
and implementing those recommendations than the Department of Education system.
Senator Josh Hawley pressed Sonderling to strengthen the joint employer rule,
accusing companies like Amazon of trying to exploit it.
It is absolutely vital that the joint employer rule not excuse Amazon's ridiculous efforts
to game the system and prevent people like this from being treated well, getting a good
paycheck and getting health care.
The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions will likely vote along
party lines within the next week.
With Republicans in the majority, Sonderling is likely to advance to a full Senate confirmation
vote later this month or early August.
Reporting on Capitol Hill, Jason Blair, NTD News.
The House Budget Committee has approved the framework for President Trump's third
reconciliation package.
Now, the proposal would fund national defense, provide aid to farmers and include a $10 billion
grant program to encourage states to adopt key provisions of the Save America Act.
NTD's Chris Bobb has more on that.
We had to use Reconciliation 2.0 just to fund homeland security.
My Democrat colleagues would not do that unless we defunded ICE and CBP.
Now we're at Reconciliation 3.0.
We still have obstruction.
The House Budget Committee on Thursday approved the framework for President Trump's third
reconciliation funding package, moving the legislation one step closer to a House vote.
We're going to use reconciliation because we're not going to let our troops be held
hostage.
Secondly, we're going to strengthen our food supply.
We're not going to be begging China or anybody to feed our families.
Thirdly, we have to do something to give confidence to the American people that there is, in fact,
free, fair, and accurate elections.
The proposal would provide $73 billion for defense and intelligence, $12 billion in agriculture
assistance, and $10 billion in grants encouraging states to adopt key provisions of the Save
America Act, including proof of citizenship for voter registration and voter ID requirements.
House Speaker Mike Johnson discussing the proposal Wednesday.
We're going to pass the Save America Act into law as much of that as possible.
The Save America Act ensures, as you know, that voters have proof of citizenship to register
to vote, and they show a valid ID when they turn up to vote at the ballot box.
These common sense policies are supported by 83 percent of the American people.
It's almost a 9 out of 10 public opinion poll.
Rather than including the full Save America Act, the reconciliation package would create
a $10 billion grant program encouraging states to adopt proof of citizenship and voter ID
requirements.
Some conservatives say that incentive-based approach falls short.
I don't want to be deluded, and of course I'm concerned.
Unfortunately, we don't have too many choices.
We never get what we want, right?
We get something similar to what we want sometimes.
The save language that's in there is real reform and not just fake save language.
It's actually going to compel a state like California to actually check citizenship when
they're registering and check voter ID.
Then that's something that I would consider.
Lawmakers are also concerned about how Congress plans to pay for the $95 billion package.
If you want to increase military spending, that's great, but there's plenty of places
we can find the fraud and the waste to pay for it.
I don't know why we're not trying to do that.
House Republican leaders hope to bring the budget resolution to the floor next week before
lawmakers leave Washington on July 24th for the month-long August recess.
If approved by both chambers, committees can then begin drafting the final reconciliation
legislation.
Chris Bobb, NTD News.
Protests are taking place in cities across Ukraine today.
The government of President Volodymyr Zelensky removing the current defense minister only
six months after he took office.
It's not yet clear why he's being fired.
NTD's international correspondent, Arjen Pasdar, has the story.
Ukrainians are seen taking to the streets of Kyiv on Thursday, protesting the removal
of Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov.
The 35-year-old tech expert took over the position only half a year ago.
Fedorov published a lengthy farewell statement late Wednesday, highlighting what he said
were major achievements during his brief tenure.
Fedorov says he inherited a ministry with no available budget, but took the risk of
redirecting salary payments into mid-range strike capabilities, drones and other modern
technologies.
When you read the list of his accomplishments, only one question comes to mind.
How is it possible to do all of that in just six months?
It's not officially clear yet why he's being let go.
But Ukrainian media have been reporting on conflicts between Fedorov and senior military
leaders.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday, acknowledging that the conflicts
are, quote, systemic.
To be honest, the president is not supposed to pick sides in this kind of situation during
wartime.
I would very much like unity.
But the defense ministry and the general staff did not find unity.
If the sides cannot resolve the issue, I will have to resolve it myself.
Zelensky added that he wants to keep Fedorov in his team.
But Fedorov on Thursday, saying he declined an offer from Zelensky to become an advisor
to the president.
Zelensky is now appointing the acting head of Ukraine's security service, Yevheny Khmara,
as acting defense minister.
Zelensky says Yevheny Khmara has gained extensive experience with technological combat
operations, saying this is exactly where our defense efforts should be focused during this
war.
The Ukrainian president is asking parliament to approve Khmara for the position.
Meanwhile, the fighting between Russia and Ukraine continues.
Ukrainian officials say three civilians are dead after a Russian guide bomb struck the
southern city of Saporizhia on Thursday.
Residents are seen clearing the debris after the attack, as houses and non-residential
buildings are damaged.
A former senior advisor to the Federal Reserve Board of Governors has been sentenced to more
than three years in prison.
John Harold Rogers convicted of lying to federal investigators about sharing restricted Federal
Reserve information with Chinese intelligence operatives.
What this defendant would do is he would get Federal Reserve information and information
that was classified, and he would take the classification marks off, send this stuff
to his own email, and then forward this stuff to this Chinese operative.
He sold out his country and other members of the Federal Reserve Board, and he hid behind
a lie, and you can't hide behind a lie.
John Harold Rogers was sentenced to 38 months in federal prison after a jury found him guilty
of making those false statements to federal investigators.
Prosecutors say Rogers had access to confidential monetary policy information from the year's
2010 to 2021, and they say that he secretly provided restricted documents to a female
Chinese intelligence operative and others affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party.
According to prosecutors, getting advanced access to the Fed's interest rate decisions
could have given Beijing an edge in trading its roughly $1.5 trillion that it's holding
in U.S. Treasury, potentially leading to enormous profits.
Rogers also sentenced to 12 months of supervised release after he leaves prison.
And John Rogers has also served as a professor at one of China's leading universities,
Fudan University.
While it's not a military college, it has participated in research that's used for both
military and civilian purposes.
Next, it's being called a historic moment in the FBI's war on fraud.
A suspect allegedly involved in the Feeding Our Future scam has been extradited to the
U.S. to face justice.
The Justice Department announcing today that Abdukerm Abdullahi Aidla has been transferred
to Minnesota after he surrendered in Somalia.
The DOJ says Aidla was among those originally charged in the $250 million Feeding Our Future
scheme back in September of 2022 in Minnesota.
He is facing 31 charges, including wire fraud, money laundering, and federal programs bribery.
This comes nearly four years after the original indictment.
Up ahead, deadly flooding forcing rescues across central Texas as the rivers continue

Welcome back to Antity Evening News.
I'm Cary Dunst.
At least one person is dead as floodwaters continue ravaging parts of Texas.
It's prompting rescues and evacuation orders.
At the same time, smoke from Canadian wildfires has pushed down to New York City
and its air quality is at an unhealthy range.
It's prompting health officials to urge residents to limit their time outdoors.
Antity's Christina Corona has more on the weather.
At least one person has died as dangerous flooding continues across central Texas,
where heavy rain has triggered flash flood emergencies,
water rescues and widespread road closures.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott says the victim died overnight between Kerrville and Confer.
There are more than 1,300 state personnel from more than 30 agencies that are already activated,
including agencies like the National Guard, the Texas Department of Public Safety,
our Texas Game Wardens for the Texas Parks and Wildlife, the Texas Department of Transportation.
More than 75 people have been rescued and a disaster declaration now covers 59 counties.
On Thursday, the Texas Department of Public Safety rescued a young girl,
her family and their two dogs from floodwaters in Uvalde.
The flooding is hitting the same region devastated by last year's catastrophic floods,
which claimed more than 130 lives, including children and counselors at Camp Mystic.
The Guadalupe River near Confer rose more than 25 feet in about an hour,
while some communities have already received up to 16 inches of rain.
Forecasters warn isolated areas could see as much as 20 inches before the storm moves out.
Meanwhile, another weather hazard is affecting millions in the northeast.
Canadian wildfire smoke blanketed parts of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut,
prompting air quality alerts across the region.
Smoke from hundreds of active wildfires burning in Canada has been carried south.
New York City's air quality index reached the red or unhealthy category Thursday morning,
as smoke drifted from South Canada.
Officials opened cooling centers, distributed canine 95 masks
and urged residents to avoid prolonged outdoor activity,
especially those with heart or lung conditions.
When the FIFA World Cup finals set for Sunday in the New York, New Jersey area,
many fans are wondering whether smoky conditions could affect the match.
Sunday morning, I think we're going to be seeing a cold front
come through the area and it should kick out any remaining smoke that we're seeing.
So pre-match conditions, we may still see some of that haze and smoke hanging around
the New York, New Jersey area, but by the time we get into the first half of the game,
I think most of that smoke is out of the way and we should be dealing with a beautiful day out there.
Forecasters expect the thickest smoke to clear by Friday,
though another round of haze is possible this weekend.
Christina Corona, NTD News.
Stay safe out there for sure.
Next, President Trump's nominee to be the next administrator of the Transportation
Security Administration, or the TSA, testifying before a Senate committee today.
David Cummins outlined priorities aimed at improving the passenger experience
while also strengthening aviation security.
NTD's Arlene Richards has more on that.
If confirmed, we will explore various ways to protect our people.
A Senate committee focused on transportation convening on Thursday
to consider advancing Trump nominee, David Cummins,
as the next administrator of the Transportation Security Administration, or TSA.
Millions of Americans pass through TSA checkpoints every day,
and senators question Cummins about how he plans to improve
airport security without slowing travelers down.
If confirmed, my very first responsibility will be to go out to our airports.
An upgrade of our technology is long overdue.
They want us to rapidly deploy next-generation baggage
scanning and passenger screening systems to make their work more secure and efficient.
I am committed to the modernization of our aviation security
and to ensuring that TSA is positioned to stay ahead of emerging threats.
Cummins said modern screening technology can help speed passengers through checkpoints.
The bags go through quicker, the people go through quicker.
And our checkpoints become more secure,
and the travelers, of course, are delighted by that prospect as well.
Earlier this year, many TSA officers were required to work without timely pay
during two government shutdowns,
contributing to staffing shortages and long security lines at some airports.
A government shutdown would be profoundly disruptive for the traveling public.
How would another shutdown affect TSA's workforce?
What's likely to happen is we're going to have significant attrition.
We're going to have mass call-outs again.
We are aggressively pushing the expansion of the SPP program
because these airports need resilience.
And having private contractors pay the TSOs during a shutdown provides resilience.
The SPP, or the Screening Partnership Program,
allows commercial airports to replace federal TSA officers with private security contractors.
Cummins is calling for an expansion of the program to provide more SPP airports
that would pay federal workers, which he says happened during the last shutdown.
If confirmed by the Senate, Cummins would lead the TSA
during a period of rising passenger volumes
and ongoing debate over modernizing airport screening and preventing future disruptions.

The latest IRS migration data shows that billions of dollars are leaving blue states
for red states.
American citizens are voting with their feet and they're running away from high taxes.
And today's Sean Marshall has more on that.
Billions of dollars are leaving blue states for red states,
according to the latest IRS migration data.
You know, we're seeing a reverse gold rush coupled with the out-migration of
Wall Street jobs to other less-taxed, lower-cost states.
Manhattan in New York and Los Angeles, California are getting hit hard.
A Fox News report found that Manhattan was first in the nation
gaining new tax filers between 2022 and 2023,
but lost $922 million in adjusted gross income as high-income taxpayers left,
only to be replaced by lower-earning new arrivals.
L.A. lost over 17,000 taxpayers.
That translates into $2 billion of taxable income.
In New York, Queens and the Bronx come in at number two and number three.
That translates into over a billion dollars in lost taxable income.
That's money that's necessary to fund schools,
infrastructure, public safety and social services.
The Hollywood home of Los Angeles County
led the nation with the highest net loss of 17,496 tax filers.
And as wealthy taxpayers leave and take their money with them,
that tax burden shifts to middle class and to working class people.
Okay, that exacerbates the affordability crisis.
It's no coincidence that some of the cities that have the largest
affordability crises today are states that have long had anti-business
and big government policies that have driven out wealthy taxpayers along with businesses.
E.J. Antoni, chief economist at the Heritage Foundation, told Fox News Digital,
it's very, very clear that people ultimately vote with their feet.
And when they feel like they're getting taxed too much,
they go somewhere else where they will be taxed less.
All 10 counties with the largest net losses in tax filers
were located in either New York or California.
Sean Marshall, NTD News.
California's new transportation bill just became law.
It modernizes the state's DMV operations,
and it gives millions to driver access to mobile IDs.
And today's David Lam has more on that.
California Governor Gavin Newsom has signed the state's new transportation bill
after much back and forth with lawmakers.
Millions of Californians may soon get access to their driver's licenses on their phones.
Raising the cap on the mobile driver license pilot program
from 15 percent to 60 percent of the state's licensed drivers.
60 percent, millions more Californians now eligible
to go through a simple process that I myself am about to do.
It's part of legislation designed to modernize the California Department of Motor Vehicles.
Newsom says the state is cutting the red tape that slows government down.
Review and submit.
Looks good.
Don't like the photo, but that's another who likes their DMV photo.
Along with more digital ID access,
DMV offices could also reduce the number of mailed notices
and not have to print physical driver handbooks.
But the new bill also raises privacy concerns regarding the DMV's use of the state-by-state
system, which lets the DMV access driver records across different states.
California will share data, including names, social security numbers, and birth dates.
Opponents of the system say this information should be private
and express concern over how it could be used in immigration enforcement.
But Newsom's office says that the system doesn't record immigration status
and ICE doesn't have access.
David Lam, NTD News, California.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio hosting a ministerial conference to address
the growing concerns about rising terrorism threats,
particularly from the political left.
That meeting attended by 60 nations.
Joining us to discuss the challenge and the potential solutions is Alvin Liu.
He's president at Courage is a Habit, and he's also a strategist.
Alvin, thanks for joining us.
For those not too familiar with this threat,
can you explain why Secretary Rubio felt the need to host the conference?
Well, absolutely.
It's good to see you again.
We all know that all the violence in America and beyond comes from the left.
And the way we do this test here is, if you go down to any blue city,
would you feel more comfortable putting a Trump sticker or putting a Kamala Harris sticker?
You know where the violence is coming from.
So he had to address that.
And I thought he did a great job.
The speech was absolutely amazing.
He hit everything right on the nose.
And he didn't, you know, mince words.
He didn't pull back.
He wasn't politically correct.
He was great.
And everything that they're talking about is very, very necessary
because of all the violence over the last 20 years from the left.
However, what we have to understand as Americans is that he's talking about
violence or when you're seeing them as an adult,
but they're being homegrown in our children in government K through 12.
And that is where they're developing all these Marxists and socialists and Antifa.
They're making them out of our children using our tax dollars.
Wow, that is alarming the way you describe it there.
Now, the secretary suggested that for years there was this double standard
that if you're, as you point out with the sticker analogy,
if your cause was from the political left,
that somehow extremism and even violence were acceptable
or even justified and written off as such.
So I want to get your thoughts on that.
Maybe some examples that you may have in mind.
So this comes, this kind of training comes
in government K through 12 called restorative justice.
And that teaches children that a crime when a crime is committed
or in the school's case, some kind of violence,
attack, some kind of bullying, the punishment has to depend
on what color skin you are and where you're coming from.
So for example, when most adults were going to school,
it was basically, if you're violent, you get suspended.
And it happens again, you get expelled today.
They're teaching kids.
Well, why did he do it?
Is it because America's oppressive?
Is it racist?
They teach kids things like words are violence.
And so one of the examples that secretary Rubio gave
is when a white terrorist plants a bomb is terrorism.
But if it's done by the left is because they're fighting
against oppression and racism.
If it's done by a trans person is because they're being oppressed
and being erased because we don't accept transgenderism
is that type of idea.
Now, where did that idea come from?
They didn't just pop into someone's head
when they're 25 or 30.
It popped into their minds when they're five, not 25.
And the reason why we all miss it is because it comes
in under be kind, inclusive, welcoming schools,
social, emotional learning, mental health,
that kind of thing, empathy.
And so when an illegal alien kills somebody,
they go, well, Americans, they commit crimes too.
And they brush it aside.
So those are some examples that he was talking about.
Yeah.
You bring up some of these kind of Orwellian themes
about the language actually shifting
and what it's actually meaning from the definition of the word.
I want to play this clip from the secretary's conference.
He points to a connection of leftist political violence
to foreign adversaries.
Let's play that.
Antifa militants and their comrades travel
from across Europe and to the Americas
to participate in each other's attacks,
to funnel propaganda and training materials.
And they work alongside hostile foreign states
that share their mission.
Like Iraq's Iranian proxy networks,
who are increasingly intimately tied
to leftist militant groups around the world.
The Cuban regime's sprawling intelligence
and ideological network helped to build the far left
in our country and in our hemisphere.
I'd like to get your reaction to that,
that the things that we're seeing on the streets
in our cities here have a connection
to foreign adversaries.
Absolutely.
And the reason why the left always seems
to be in such lockstep
and that they don't step outside their mission at all
is because whether you're talking about America
or Australia or Canada or the UK
or anywhere in the West,
the one North star that they all have is communism.
So it doesn't really matter what happens
in our particular respective countries.
Their goal is always communism
and it's always to tear down.
So because of that, what he's saying is possible
because it doesn't matter
if you're raising money in Australia
and then doing terrorism in California
or you're raising money in California
and doing terrorism in the UK
because the goal is always the same.
And I always describe communism
as a really bad matchup for normal everyday people
because normal everyday people just want to take care
of their own family, their own business
and their own communities.
And then try to, if you leave me alone, I leave you alone.
And that sentiment might be good
if you live in a high trust society
and you're not under attack,
but it doesn't work.
That sentiment doesn't work
when you're dealing with communism
because the second a communist foot
hits the floor in the morning,
he's all about infringing on you
and a good person's always about compromise.
And that's why it's such a bad matchup.
I see how that sort of exploits that gap in that opening.
So with the secretary shining a light on this
and gathering 60 of his colleagues in various countries,
obviously secretary of Warhead Seth
is constantly meeting with his colleagues
in other countries.
But do you see this gathering in DC
by secretary Rubio on this topic?
Is this potentially a turning point?
Is it a watershed moment?
I think so.
I mean, I think also it's credit to him
because he's got the personality
and the courage and the heart to do that.
And it takes somebody to drive everybody
towards being more offensive.
And the one I really love about him
is that he's very offensive minded.
This is something we talk about
our courage is a habit all the time.
Stop playing defense, stop apologizing
for what he was saying is so true about this movement
is a movement of people who want to tear down good
and excellent and builders.
I just recently wrote an article on The Federalist
talking about that socialism,
which is what he's talking about,
is the movement of the lazy, of the jealous and of losers.
And we as everyday Americans,
we have to start using those terms
to describe these people
because that's exactly what they are.
And so I love seeing that coalition
that he's pointing out that he's pulling together.
But I'm more so love seeing that offensive mindset
to say we're not going to just sit here
and play defense and only react when something happens
because there are homegrown in each of our countries
and it starts at your kindergarten level.
Well, Alvin Liu, President Courage is a Habit.
Very great to have you this evening.
Thank you for joining.
Great to see you.
And President Trump is set to deliver
his major primetime address to the nation
tonight at 9 p.m.
The president confirmed that his dress
will cover election integrity
and administration officials say
that this speech will include remarks
on voting machine security
and efforts by foreign nations
to influence U.S. elections.
You can watch that live on NTD
with our special coverage
starting right after Tiffany Meyer tonight.
She's on at 8 p.m. Eastern.
Next, this coming July 20th,
that will mark the 27th anniversary
of the Chinese Communist Party's
brutal persecution of Falun Gong.
As America marks its 250th birthday,
the International Religious Freedom Builders Forum
shining a spotlight on this issue today,
bringing together different faith groups,
institutions and government officials.
This Monday, July 20th,
marks the 27th anniversary
of the CCP's cruel campaign
to eradicate Falun Gong.
The U.S. government takes attacks
on members of religious groups
such as the Falun Gong seriously
and is committed to using
all appropriate tools
to pursue accountability
for Chinese officials' involvement.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa,
is a Chinese spiritual practice
based on the principles of truthfulness,
compassion and forbearance.
Although Falun Gong is embraced worldwide,
practitioners in China have been subjected
to a brutal persecution campaign
since 1999 July.
In China, where I came from,
simply saying the words
I'm a Falun Gong practitioner
could get a person arrested, tortured
or even killed,
having their organs harvested
while they're still alive.
Meanwhile, here in the U.S.,
the Chinese Communist Party
has been using a variety of tactics
to attack and discredit Falun Gong.
Those tactics include
lawfare, violent threats,
physical assault, surveillance,
diplomatic pressure and more.
Among those on the receiving end
of this campaign is
Shenyuan Performing Arts,
a New York-based dance company
founded by Falun Gong practitioners.
If CCP can weaponize
the American media, social media,
bailout government agencies
and took advantage of the judiciary system
to target Falun Gong and Shenyuan,
they can do that to any other groups
of their choosing.
In addition to Falun Gong,
the forum highlighted
other persecuted groups in China,
including Christians,
Tibetan Buddhists
and Uyghur Muslims.

Now for your sports news,
we're joined by NTD's Dave Martin.
Dave, there's some golf and tennis news,
but I think I want to kick it off
with what LeBron might do next season.
What's the latest?
Well, there's still a whole lot
of options out here,
but James probably broke his silence today.
It was the first time he'd spoken publicly
since it was announced he was not,
he was coming back to the Lakers.
He did not say who he's actually going to.
Now James was doing a live recording
of his Mind the Game podcast
right here in New York City's
Jacob Javits Center today.
He did say,
I won't hold you guys up too much longer,
so it sounds like he'll at least
be making a decision soon.
We got that, which is nice.
We got that going for us.
It's nice, which is nice.
The 41-year-old James said
he could possibly play
both a 24th and 25th NBA season.
James is already the current record holder
with 23 seasons played this past year.
In that 23rd season,
he averaged 21 points,
just over seven assists a game,
and that seven assists
was seventh best in the NBA,
so he can still play at a very high level.
Now one team James probably
won't be going to,
the Indiana Pacers.
Now the podcast today was co-hosted
by Pacers all-star point guard Tyrese Halliburton.
Halliburton revealed that he's tried
to recruit James via text message,
but James' response was a pair of
laughing and crying emojis, you know?
So much less when I reach out
to James for an interview.
I don't really get much.
You don't hear back.
I get ghosted.
At least he got a response here.
I think an Ohio guy views Indiana
as like a no-go territory, maybe.
All right, well let's move on.
Let's move to some golf news now.
We've got the British Open underway.
No one has emerged as the leader.
What's going on over there
on the other side of the pond there?
Yeah, we've got a dozen players
within two shots of the lead here
after round one.
American Jackson Subar
at the top of the leaderboard
of treating a 5-under-65 today,
and that's despite three bogeys.
The 83rd-ranked Subar
countered those bogeys
with birdies on 14 and 16,
followed by an eagle on 17,
so he's finished strong there.
So he is in first.
Meanwhile, number one-ranked
Scottie Scheffler,
three shots behind
after shooting a 2-under-68.
Scheffler, meanwhile,
got off to a very fast start.
Birdies on four of his first five holes.
None after that, though.
Meanwhile, second-ranked Rory McIlroy,
rough day with a putter,
missing a trio of four-foot putts
in just a range of four holes there.
That was 7, 8, and 10.
So he finished with a 2-over-72,
putting him seven shots off lead.
Elsewhere, our 2026 U.S. Open champion
Wyndham Clark
gives a shot behind McIlroy,
finishing 3-over-par,
tied for 106th overall.
So Clark and McIlroy
definitely gonna have some work to do
if tomorrow they're gonna make
the weekend cut,
which is the top 70 players plus tops.
All right, we're heading
toward a conclusion there
with the cut coming.
Let's stay in the country club
world of sports,
and let's talk tennis.
We've got third-ranked Carlos Acaraz,
who was ranked number two,
but his injury preventing him
from playing.
Definitely at Wimbledon,
I think the French as well,
where he's very dominant.
He's missed the last two majors.
I mean, he's been dominant
at all of the majors.
I'm gonna say that for sure,
but yeah.
He is entering next month's
Cincinnati Open.
Now, he hasn't actually said
that he's recovered
from the wrist injury.
Obviously, you wouldn't enter it
otherwise, though.
And he hasn't played since April.
But Acaraz won the Australian Open
in January.
That was already his seventh
major title.
He had a 22-3 record on the season
when he got injured.
Now, he's also the reigning champion
at the Cincinnati Open,
and this year's Open
is also gonna feature his rival,
number one-ranked Yannick Sinner.
Now, these two have combined
to win now 10
of the last 11 major titles.
You had second-ranked Alexander Zverev
finally getting in there,
the only one besides those
two to win a major,
winning last month's French Open.
In any case,
Cincinnati Open is from August 13 to 23,
and then a week later,
the U.S. Open begins.
And like I said,
Acaraz, the defending champion
there as well.
So we finally get the Acaraz
versus Sinner back.
If you remember last year,
those three met in the finals
of three straight majors,
French Open, Wimbledon, and U.S. Open.
So it's a fun rivalry to get back.
Just watching him serve there on camera,
I mean, it's like you're watching
Nadal's little brother.
And then Sinner, of course,
Italian, not Swiss,
but he has the style
and the smoothness of Federer.
It's just amazing to watch them battle.
Yeah, of course.
I mean, 20 years ago,
it was Federer-Nadal,
it seemed like,
at the finals of every major final.
We finally get the big three
kind of moving away.
We've already got the big two
in their place, you know?
All right.
Well, you're going to want
to stick around for this one.
I know you love our viral videos.
This one is about the Blue Angels.
Thanks for joining, Dave.
Thanks, Gary.
And a screaming fast,
ultra-low pass by the famous Blue Angels
has officials taking a close look
at a beachside performance
that has gone viral,
for better or for worse.
Here's what happened.
Take a look at a startlingly low
Blue Angels flyby
that buzzed spectators
on a Florida beach.
But was it flirting with disaster
or just fighter jet fun in the sun?
It happened during a show over Pensacola
with the famous flying jets
called Breakfast with the Blues.
Witnesses say one jet flew
so close to spectators,
it produced a mini tornado
that sent sand tents and chairs flying.
Some say it was thrilling to witness.
Others may not have been
so thrilled about it.
Because according to WEAR,
leadership from the Blue Angels say
they're now doing a safety review
of the low altitude incident
to make sure pilots stuck
to strict Navy and FAA safety standards.
Eyes on the skies in parts of the US
were seeing orange as plumes of smoke
from massive Canadian wildfires near Ontario
began pouring over the border
and shrouding the skies
with trippy tangerine colors
in places like Massachusetts
and upstate New York.
Additionally, air quality alerts
have been issued in major cities
like Boston and New York City,
as well as Midwestern cities
like Detroit and Chicago.
The National Weather Service
is advising residents in affected areas
to close windows
and limit outdoor activities.
You know, healthy air
isn't just a necessity for us humans.
Pigeons need clean air too.
Watch as an Oakland, California firefighter
administers oxygen treatment
to a pigeon that was observed
struggling to breathe
following a vehicle fire.
According to a post
by the Oakland Firefighters Local 55,
the pigeon was in distress
and came up to the crew
seemingly seeking help.
So they broke out the oxygen
and allowed the pigeon to puff away
until it felt well enough to fly away.
