In the wake of Lindsey Graham's sudden death on July 11th, President Donald Trump sent a heartfelt message on Truth Social remembering his personal relationship with the late senator and ordered all American flags throughout the U.S. to be flown at half-staff until 6 p.m on July 18th. South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster announced Monday Darline Graham Nordone, Lindsey Graham's sister, would fill the late senator's seat. Earlier on the same day, Trump posted on Truth Social recommending Nordone as Graham's replacement saying, "This would be a fabulous tribute to Lindsey, who loved her dearly!"

Trump announced in a separate Truth Social post that the U.S. military will reinstate the blockade of Iranian ports. The President said that the United States will also begin charging a  20 percent reimbursement fee on all cargo ships going through the Strait of Hormuz to cover the costs of guarding the crucial waterway.

Nine European nations and Ukraine agree to form an anti-ballistic missile coalition. Kyiv is calling on them to start producing Ukrainian defense system in part to bridge the time until patriot missiles are ready.
