Chris Crewther on Launching Modern Slavery Act in Australian Parliament

Chris Crewther was a member of the Australian Parliament and Head of Strategic Partnerships with the Global Fund to End Modern Slavery.

Chris led Parliament’s Modern Slavery Inquiry, bringing about Australia’s Modern Slavery Act.

The Australian Modern Slavery Act, officially the Modern Slavery Act 2018, requires certain businesses operating in Australia to report on their efforts to address modern slavery risks in their operations and supply chains.

For this work, Chris was awarded Anti-Slavery Australia’s Freedom Award and named in the Top 100 Global Corporate Social Responsibility Influence Leaders.
