
Israeli Prime Minister Confirms Hostage Deal; Supreme Court May Rule on TikTok's Ban Appeal
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed a deal with Hamas to end 15 months of fighting and a return of hostages. The announcement comes after fears the deal would collapse at the last minute. A ceasefire will take effect Sunday, and will consist of two stages. In the first stage, 33 Israeli hostages consisting of all women and children, are set to return home.
The Supreme Court could decide today whether TikTok is forced to shut down in the U.S. The justices are weighing a challenge to free speech versus national security concerns. President-elect Trump could also be exploring options to "preserve" the app, according to incoming national security advisor, Mike Walz.
