New York state judge Juan Merchan has paused proceedings in President-elect Donald Trump's already decided criminal case on charges stemming from hush money paid to a porn star, a document made public on Tuesday showed.
The 118th Congress returns Tuesday for its final session after a long recess that began in September. It is the first time the legislature has met since the Nov. 5 election, in which Republicans gained control of the Senate. The House Republican leadership, led by House Speaker Mike Johnson, hold a news conference at the U.S. Capitol.
