Hello everyone, this is Kevin Mandybourg for the Tuto 1ere channel.
Today we are going to see together the brand new automatic translation tool on Premiere
Pro 2025. This tool will allow you to instantly translate all your subtitles
into different languages. Come on, let's go, I'll meet you right away on the software.
For information, on December 4, 2024, the date on which I am recording this tutorial,
it is not possible to access the auto translation on Premiere Pro. Indeed,
this feature is only present on the beta version of Premiere Pro. Small reminder,
to download it, you go to your Creative Cloud, you click on Applications,
you go to Beta and from there you can download Premiere Pro Beta.
We are going to do this test from a YouTube video that I recently created.
I placed my YouTube video on a timeline and I will go directly to the
Transcription tab to be able to do the automatic transcription.
So here I have my transcription in French that you know and from there you can also do it,
you click on Subtitles, Create Subtitles from the Transcription,
there you can set your subtitles as you wish and you create a legend.
Now I have my subtitles and they have been slipped on a track,
here the Subtitles track on the Premiere Pro timeline.
The novelty is here in this little icon that allows you to do the automatic translation
in several languages. So I click on it, I will be able to choose my language,
and I will choose several languages at the same time.
That is to say that I can choose if I want English, Spanish and why not Hindi.
As this is a beta version, there are not yet too many choices in terms of languages,
do not worry if you do not find them for the moment.
You also have here in Advanced Preferences the possibility of setting the subtitles as
you could do for the French version and you then click on Translation.
Here you can see it, Subtitles Translation, it is being created automatically on Premiere Pro
and in fact it is done on two tracks above the original subtitle track.
So we're going to check, as you can see it has put them in mute for the moment,
that is to say that it is not active. So no problem if you want to see them,
you can disable the French track and activate the first track here.
So we'll see what it is, I'm going to click on it, we can see that it is the English language.
As we can see, it translated everything, put everything automatically in the timeline,
we can check on the Rush if you want.
You see there I have the English version, if I want the French version I go there.
So here I have the French version, the English version, there I have the Italian version and I had
forgotten but we made a fourth track. I have the indie version right here.
So you have all your subtitle tracks, so you see how much time you save
already by staying in Premiere Pro to do that.
And the good news is that you can also export everything.
So I'm going to take an example, track 2 here, English.
Besides, you can rename it here, I right click, I do English.
Here is the first one, here I can do French.
So if I want to export for example my English track, so I'm going to activate it to locate it.
Here it is, this is the one.
So here I am on my English subtitles, to export it is very simple.
I go to the three little dots here, I go to export and there I do what I advise you to export to an SRT file.
Since it is the most commonly used format to export subtitles.
And you can simply slide them on YouTube, on Vimeo or on any other online video hosting platform.
So there I click on it and I save it on my computer.
If you want to insert it on YouTube, I'll give you an example.
Here we have the corresponding tutorial.
I go to subtitles, simply in YouTube.
I add a language, there I will put English.
And in subtitles here, I will click on it.
And I will simply be able to import a file.
And there I imported directly all my subtitles in a few clicks.
It's over for the tutorial.
I invite you now to test this tool on the beta version of Premiere Pro.
And tell me in the comments what you think.
I take this opportunity to make a small disclaimer on the beta version.
Be careful, I see many users who use it every day for their projects.
This version is not a stable version, you should not work with it.
It is only intended to test the future functionalities of the software.
If you are currently using it for your projects, I advise you to switch back to the classic version.
You will thus have a lot less bugs and better performance on Premiere Pro.
