Actor Ryan Gosling’s goth-inspired band Dead Man’s Bones released its first new music in 17 years on Tuesday.

The ethereal tune, complete with a black and white video, is called “Lost in the Night.”

Gosling’s romantic partner Eva Mendes hinted Thursday that something was in the works.

“I can feel it in the air…” she posted on Instagram.

Dead Man’s Bones is a duo consisting of the “Project Hail Mary” singer on vocals, keys, guitar and bass and musician Zach Shields on guitar, percussion and vocals. The pair said in a news release that they “took two guitars, two drum machines, and two synthesizers to a farm outside the city” and recorded “Lost in the Night” in one day.

Mendes posted, “he came through on a promise to me” after the band confirmed new music would drop on Tuesday.

She celebrated the new song’s release with a post thanking young actors Rain Spencer and Noah Jupe for performing in the video.

“It’s here!” Mendez posted. “It’s hauntingly beautiful.”

Dead Man’s Bones released its only album to date in 2009. That eponymous recording, which includes a children’s choir from the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, co-founded in 2001 by Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea.

The album was described as “unusual and surprising” in a flattering Pitchfork review.

The band hasn’t said whether a second full-length record is coming or the new single is all fans are getting at this point.
