“Power Rangers Wild Force” star Phillip Andrew has undergone emergency surgery after suffering a “serious brain injury.”
Christian Ingram of Heroic Talent & Appearances provided Andrew’s health update in a statement shared to Instagram on Tuesday.
“We are grateful to share that Phillip is now awake and showing encouraging signs of improvement,” Ingram said. “While this is a positive step forward, Phillip still has a long road ahead of him.”
Ingram also called on Andrew’s friends and fans to “continue to keep him and his loved ones in their thoughts and prayers as he navigates this difficult time.”
“We also kindly ask that everyone continue to respect Phillip and his family’s privacy as they focus on his health and recovery,” he added. “On behalf of Phillip and his family, we sincerely appreciate the overwhelming love, support, and prayers during this incredibly challenging time.”
The news comes some two weeks after Ingram took to Instagram to reveal the former Power Ranger suffered a “medical emergency,” forcing him to cancel “all upcoming appearances in the foreseeable future.” While he did not provide specifics, he added that Andrew needed time to “focus on his health and recovery,” asking followers to “respect” the family’s privacy while also keeping Andrew in their thoughts moving forward.
Few other details have been provided since.
Andrew is best known for playing Merrick Baliton — also known as Lunar Wolf Ranger — on “Power Rangers Wild Force.” The show premiered in 2002, and it wrapped after just one season on air. He has also appeared on shows like “What I Like About you” in 2006, as well as “The Hazing” and “Letter Home,” both of which came out in 2004.
In 2025, Andrew launched a YouTube channel focused on his time as Power Ranger and an actor.
