I don’t really know where to begin other than the fact that you’re going to want to hear this in its entirety because it is going to drop your jaw to the floor. Right now, I believe they’re doing everything in their power to set up President Trump, the GOP, and Republicans ahead of the midterm elections. In fact, mainstream media news sources are openly reporting that top U.S. officials are secretly preparing for what they’re calling a nightmare scenario involving the president of the United States.

And this comes on the heels of a report I recently covered in which Data Republican revealed allegations that the Democratic Socialists of America are essentially trying to usurp the authority of the federal government and give more power to governors. I’m going to put these pieces together because I think we now have a much broader picture of what they may have in store. Will they get away with it? Lord only knows. We’re going to have to watch the midterms and find out. But I can hardly believe some of the information coming out, and I’m going to let the documents and reports speak for themselves.

According to a NewsBreak report titled “Top U.S. Officials Secretly Preparing for Nightmare Scenario Involving Donald Trump and Midterm Election Results,” a small group of national security officials has reportedly been secretly advising state governments, and I want you to remember that, along with members of Congress, on how to counter potential Trump administration attempts to interfere in the elections.

The report states that the bipartisan group includes approximately 10 current and former Defense Department officials, some of whom have professional experience countering authoritarian regimes abroad. That alone should tell you something. These individuals are reportedly operating under the radar to help state leadership insulate local election protocols from potential federal exploitation.

One member reportedly told The Washington Post that the outcome they hope for is that states will be prepared for any contingencies should they arise. In other words, they are literally planning for contingencies involving a U.S. election. Do you see how they’re setting the stage? They are preparing, getting ready, and putting plans into place for something that may or may not happen.

And the more you look at these reports, the more concerning this becomes. I’m especially worried about what’s going to happen during our elections, not only which way the results will go, but also what all this talk and preparation could mean for our country.

Now, going back to that same report, there’s something else I want to address involving retired federal Judge J. Michael Luttig. He made statements suggesting congressional Republicans had put Donald Trump and their political party ahead of the country. He also warned about the possibility of another January 6 scenario following the midterm elections.

Here’s my problem with that. I don’t agree with his characterization of Republicans, and I believe it’s another example of how the stage is being set. They’re suggesting that GOP leaders are only loyal to President Trump, which simply isn’t true. In fact, plenty of Republicans don’t even like the president of the United States.

And quite frankly, I don’t care whether you love or hate President Trump. This isn’t about that. I have somewhat of a middle ground when it comes to the president myself. Some things he does make me angry, and other things he does I like. I’m willing to take that middle ground. But what concerns me is the possibility that all of this is part of a much larger political setup, one that could have serious consequences for the entire country.

In fact, there is a list circulating of nine ways President Trump could potentially interfere in the 2026 midterm elections. And when you look at these scenarios, I think you’ll begin to understand why I’m so concerned about the narrative being created.

The first scenario involves Trump alleging election fraud or compromised voting machines. But you see how they’re setting the stage? If President Trump makes such a claim, then suddenly those preparing these contingency plans can point to it as justification for their concerns. They’re essentially preparing for a nightmare scenario that they believe could play out.

The second scenario involves pressuring election officials to change or cancel election results. The third involves seizing ballots or voting equipment. Now, if there were legitimate evidence of election fraud, wouldn’t we need to investigate it? That’s where I think some of these scenarios are exaggerating the possibilities and reaching for conclusions that haven’t actually happened.

The fourth scenario involves federal election monitors interfering with voting. The fifth is an ICE presence near voting locations. The sixth involves troops at polling places, while the seventh involves a national emergency declaration. The eighth involves federal investigations and charges against election officials.

And isn’t that interesting? Because we’ve already seen investigations and legal action involving election officials and election-related disputes under the previous administration. Yet here we are, with these possibilities being presented as potential actions by President Trump.

Finally, the ninth scenario involves Congress refusing to seat election winners. Do you see why I’m saying this could become a setup? They’re creating a list of possibilities and warning about what Republicans might do, even though these events have not necessarily occurred.

To me, it creates a potentially lose-lose situation. If something along these lines happens, God forbid, those warning about it will say they were right all along. But even if President Trump doesn’t take those actions, the existence of these contingency plans could still influence how people interpret whatever happens during the election. And since Trump has already raised questions about election integrity in the past, those statements could easily be used to reinforce the concerns being circulated today.

But perhaps one of the boldest reports comes from Axios, which published an article titled “Trump’s MAGA Allies Openly Discuss Martial Law.” According to the report, certain MAGA activists have been discussing extraordinary measures that President Trump could potentially take if they believe something improper occurs during the midterm elections.

I pray to God that martial law never happens under any administration. That’s my personal opinion. But what concerns me about this reporting is the possibility that these discussions are being used to paint a particular picture of President Trump and the GOP before voters even head to the polls.

Think about that for a moment. If you repeatedly tell Americans that President Trump might take extraordinary action, interfere with election results, or create some kind of constitutional crisis, what kind of impression does that leave on voters? Could it influence how they view the president and the Republican Party before the election even happens? That’s what I’m questioning.

And again, I’m not somebody who agrees with everything President Trump does. But I will point out that his administration has taken actions that few others have, including withdrawing the United States from the World Health Organization and the Paris climate accords. Whether you agree or disagree with those decisions, they are significant actions that distinguish his administration from others.

Nevertheless, the stage is being set, and now another prominent Democrat has entered the conversation. Senator Elissa Slotkin has made statements that, in my opinion, add even more fuel to the fire.

According to reporting from The Gateway Pundit, Democratic Senator Elissa Slotkin has been raising concerns about what President Trump might do during the midterm elections. Slotkin, a former CIA analyst, suggested that the Trump administration could potentially use a national security incident to justify extraordinary measures that could affect the election.

And here’s something else I found concerning. Slotkin had previously warned young people and recent college graduates considering working for President Trump to think carefully about their decisions because there could potentially be repercussions down the road. To me, that sounds like a warning that raises serious questions of its own.

During a conversation with the Michigan Black Business Alliance at Wayne State University’s Rosa Café, Slotkin discussed her concerns about the administration and the upcoming election. Drawing on her national security background, she suggested that authoritarian governments sometimes use security incidents in the final weeks before an election to justify deploying law enforcement or military personnel.

She said she would be watching very closely for something like that to happen in the United States. But here’s where things become even more interesting. Slotkin also revealed that she helped organize something called a TTX, or tabletop exercise, designed to game out potential scenarios.

Now, think about what that means. A sitting U.S. senator is participating in preparations involving hypothetical scenarios surrounding the president, the federal government, and the midterm elections. Tabletop exercises are used in national security and military planning to examine potential situations and determine how officials might respond.

But what I want to know is exactly what scenarios they’re preparing for and what actions are being considered. Are they preparing to respond to an actual attempt to interfere with an election, or are they preparing for situations involving statements and actions by President Trump that they may simply disagree with? Those are two very different things, and I believe Americans deserve to know the difference.

Because if some kind of political setup were successful, God forbid, and something happened that threw the election into turmoil, all it would do is create even more chaos in this country. And that is absolutely not a direction we want to go.

Now, on top of everything else, we have the allegations involving the Democratic Socialists of America and the information released by Data Republican. According to those allegations, there are reported plans being discussed involving what could happen if Democrats win the midterm elections and certain political red lines are crossed.

And I want to be very clear here. I’m not saying these alleged plans are guaranteed to succeed or even that they will necessarily be carried out. These are reported allegations, and they need to be understood as such. But the concern being raised is that certain political strategies could potentially shift power toward state governors, challenge federal authority, or create circumstances that might force President Trump to respond in some way, shape, or form.

When you start connecting all of these reports, the picture becomes increasingly concerning. We have current and former national security officials reportedly advising state governments and members of Congress, discussions about possible federal interference in elections, warnings about martial law, a sitting senator participating in tabletop exercises, and separate allegations about plans involving the Democratic Socialists of America.

I believe Americans should be paying very close attention to all of this. Whether these preparations are genuine safeguards against possible election interference or whether some of them could be used for political purposes is a question worth asking. What concerns me most is the possibility that Americans are being conditioned to expect a political crisis before the votes have even been counted.

And the reality is, we don’t know exactly what’s going to happen in November. Nobody does. But I think the American people have every right to question what is being planned behind the scenes, why these scenarios are being discussed so openly, and whether these preparations could influence the election itself.

At the end of the day, this shouldn’t be about whether someone loves or hates Donald Trump. It should be about protecting our elections, preserving our constitutional system, and ensuring that no political party or group uses fear, hypothetical scenarios, or accusations to undermine the will of the American people.

Because if there’s one thing I know, it’s that our country doesn’t need any more chaos, division, or uncertainty. And with the midterm elections approaching, the questions surrounding these reports are only becoming more important.
