FITCHBURG — An evening of music, comedy and Italian flavors is planned as Fitchburg State University’s Center for Italian Culture celebrates Italian American Heritage Month with “CIC Presents: Jimmy Mazz Italian Style” on Saturday, Oct. 24.

The event will take place at Hammond Hall in the Falcon Hub at Fitchburg State University, 160 Pearl St. Doors open at 5 p.m., with the event beginning at 5:30 p.m. and Mazz’s performance scheduled for 7 p.m.

With more than 40 years of experience entertaining audiences at premier venues across the country, including Atlantic City’s Superstar Theater, Mazz is known for his smooth vocals, high energy and impressive musical impressions.

Drawing from his “Legends & Laughter” repertoire, Mazz takes audiences on a musical journey through songs made famous by a wide range of performers, from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Nat King Cole to Rod Stewart, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond, Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen. His show also features humorous impressions of well-known entertainers and celebrities, along with a few surprises.

The evening will include Italian flavors, as well.

A $50 ticket includes a selection of cicchetti, traditional Italian-style appetizers prepared by Chartwells. Italian wines and beers will be available for purchase at the Falcon Pub for guests 21 and older with valid identification.

The Center for Italian Culture invites the community to enjoy this celebration of Italian American heritage through music, laughter and food.
