MONROE- It was minutes after midnight early on Thursday, October 15 when a man used a baseball bat to break two glass entry doors and enter the Target store at 128 Bailey Farm Road in the Town of Monroe.

Ross Gibson’s crime was captured on the store surveillance video. The bat used by the 43-year-old Highland Mills man was recovered inside the store.

A search of Gibson yielded some 51 grams of lorazepam pills and several buprenorphine/naloxone sublingual films.

He was charged with burglary, possession of burglar’s tools, criminal mischief and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Gibson was arraigned and released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
