FALLBROOK — Scarecrow Days has returned to Fallbrook, bringing colorful characters to homes and businesses throughout the village and surrounding hills in October.

For 14 years, Scarecrow Days has been a Fallbrook autumn tradition, inviting local businesses and residents to create unique scarecrows and display them outside their homes and storefronts.

Several scarecrows can be spotted in the heart of the village along Main Avenue, including the jolly, hat-wearing fellows pictured above, while others are scattered throughout Fallbrook’s rural outskirts.

Some displays also raise awareness about local issues, including the Golden Pacific Powerlink project, San Diego Gas & Electric’s proposed 500-kilovolt transmission line that could run through parts of Fallbrook. Many residents have opposed the project.
