MIDDLETOWN- The Orange County Partnership welcomed a record crowd of more than 500 business leaders, elected officials, and community stakeholders to its 2026 Investor Breakfast on Tuesday, October 6, at The Barn at Villa Venezia in Middletown.
During the annual event, Partnership President and CEO Conor Eckert delivered a State of the Partnership address highlighting the organization’s economic development initiatives, recent project successes, and ongoing efforts to attract private investment, create jobs, and support existing businesses throughout Orange County.
A highlight of the breakfast was the recognition of three local leaders as the Partnership’s 2026 Women of Achievement in Economic Development: Maria Bruni, director of community development for the City of Middletown; Valerie Maginsky, executive director of the City of Port Jervis Community Development Agency; and Cherisse Vickers, executive director of the City of Newburgh Industrial Development Agency.
The three honorees were recognized for their contributions to economic development and revitalization in Orange County’s three cities, helping attract investment, strengthen local economies and expand opportunities for residents and businesses.
“Economic development is about the people and partnerships that move our communities forward,” Eckert said. He praised the honorees for their leadership in transforming the cities and positioning them for continued growth.
