KINGSTON – City Police in Kingston have arrested two individuals in connection with a hit-and-run motor vehicle-pedestrian accident at Broadway and Liberty Street in Kingston on August 1 that left the victim in a coma.
Following a two-month investigation, police arrested Justin Greico, 35, and Katie Potter, 38, on Wednesday, October 7.
Greico was charged with assault, vehicular assault, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, tampering with physical evidence, failing to report a personal injury accident or leaving the scene, reckless driving, and aggravated unlicensed operation.
Potter was charged with tampering with physical evidence, falsifying business records and insurance fraud.
Kingston Police were assisted by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, County Crash Reconstruction Team, and the District Attorney’s Office Investigations Unit.
Members of the public have also been credited with assisting law enforcement in the investigation.
