LOS ANGELES — Aerosmith is set to return to the stage this fall for two nights at the Hollywood Bowl, marking the iconic rock band’s first live performances since retiring from the road following its 2024 Peace Out: The Farewell Tour.
Billed as California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends, the concerts will take place October 29 and November 1. Live Nation-Hewitt Silva and Blackbird Presents announced the event, which will bring Aerosmith together with an extensive group of guest performers.
The lineup includes The Black Crowes, RUN DMC, Heart, Andrew Watt, Billy Idol, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses, Eric Church, Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains, Marcus King, Mike Inez of Alice in Chains, Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme, Pat Monahan of Train, Sammy Hagar, Slash of Guns N’ Roses, Steve Stevens, Sully Erna of Godsmack, Tom Morello, Adam Wakeman, Audley Freed and Kenny Aronoff. Don Was will serve as music director.
The guest roster brings together artists who have previously worked with Aerosmith or recorded with the band, along with musicians who have identified Aerosmith as an influence. More guests and surprise appearances are expected to be revealed in the weeks leading up to the concerts, with organizers promising collaborations and unexpected moments across both nights.
The performers will not be identical on the two evenings. Each night’s final lineup will be announced at or near showtime, and all appearances remain subject to change.
The Hollywood Bowl shows are intended to celebrate Aerosmith’s career, music catalog and worldwide influence. The band’s lineup features vocalist Steven Tyler, bassist Tom Hamilton, drummer Joey Kramer and guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford.
Aerosmith released its self-titled debut album in 1973 and went on to build a catalog of enduring rock songs, including “Dream On,” “Sweet Emotion,” “Walk This Way,” “Janie’s Got a Gun,” “Crazy,” “Cryin’,” and “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.”
The four-time Grammy Award winning group is also among the few acts to place Top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 in six consecutive decades. Organizers said the upcoming concerts will offer fans a rare chance to see the band together again and experience the chemistry and stage presence that have characterized its live performances for more than five decades.
Aerosmith retired from touring in 2024 after Tyler experienced a vocal chord injury and fractured larynx.
Presale tickets go on sale Thursday, October 8, followed by the general on-sale Saturday, October 10.
