LEOMINSTER — Jenny Cote of Leominster was honored recently with a 2026 Latino Excellence Award at the Massachusetts State House. This annual event, organized by the Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus, commemorates “Community leaders and trailblazers who are moving the needle forward in cities and towns across the Commonwealth.”

Cote celebrated with her family and more than 80 community leaders from across Massachusetts being honored at the ceremony.

Nominated by state Rep. Natalie Higgins, D-Leominster, her nomination notes: “Jenny Cote is a passionate individual and a proud immigrant with a deep-rooted love for teaching and business, focused on empowering the Latine community to achieve the American Dream of homeownership.”

Cote has served as both the president and director of education for the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals of Central Massachusetts and proudly maintains active memberships with AREAA and the LGBTQ+ Alliance.

Locally, Cote has served as a Realtor Association of Central Mass vice president, director, alternate director, Government Affairs Committee chair, and is the recipient of the association’s highest honor, the 2026 Realtor of the Year Award.

Cote’s leadership extends to the state level through service on the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, volunteering her time translating press releases into Spanish each month, making industry information more accessible.

Cote is a lifelong educator, teaching first-time homebuyer classes in Spanish with NewVue Communities and English as a second language at Quinsigamond Community College.

“We are grateful for Jenny’s dedication to building opportunities for our residents in Leominster and throughout Worcester County,” Higgins said.
