HUDSON, N.H. — Police have arrested a Manchester, New Hampshire man for allegedly supplying the narcotics that led to a fatal overdose in Hudson earlier this summer.
Michael Balboni, 35, was charged with controlled drug, death resulting after a July 3 overdose in which the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Hudson police.
Police said that detectives with the department’s Narcotics Investigation Unit conducted an extensive investigation examining the circumstances of the death and the source of the drugs involved. Evidence gathered during the investigation allegedly indicates Balboni provided the narcotics that resulted in the individual’s death.
Balboni was taken into custody on Wednesday while already being held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections in Manchester on unrelated charges.
The outcome of his arraignment, which took place on Thursday in 9th Circuit Nashua District Court, was not immediately available.
