CARMEL – Thanks to Putnam County District Attorney Robert Tendy’s efforts, members of the Putnam SPCA Police now have greater protection from harm.
The District Attorney’s Office used asset forfeiture funds to purchase safety vests for the officers.
When SPCA personnel visited the office this week, Tendy commended SPCA Chief Ken Ross and his staff for doing a “fantastic job by keeping animals safe. The least we can do is to help keep these men safe.”
Ross thanked the county’s chief prosecutor for aiding his agency which runs on a minimal budget yet is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
