Why We Were Asked to Stop Sharing Our Exact Filming Locations
In this article, we explain why we were asked to no longer share the exact locations where we film in Switzerland. A personal message about respecting the wishes of local residents, their private property, our natural environment, and the peaceful character of Swiss villages.

Dear viewers of our channel,
Please note that we have to change some details in our video descriptions.
We have been asked not to disclose where we filmed our footage. Over the past few months, more and more local residents have made the same request.
They do not want their homes and villages to become widely known because they are concerned about a massive influx of tourists who may not respect the local way of life, private property, or the environment. They certainly need tourism, but they do not want to become the next Lauterbrunnen, where tourists have entered private homes, climbed over fences, and even used people's gardens as toilets.
Some visitors apparently do not believe that these very neat villages are real, simply because they look exactly like the postcards you can buy. Some assume they are merely "facades" or "fakes" created for tourists. But they are not. All the places where we film in Switzerland are real places where real people work and live their everyday lives.

Yes, Switzerland is picturesque, and Swiss people work hard to keep their villages, gardens, and countryside clean and well maintained. That is precisely why many locals have little interest in attracting visitors who do not respect the places they come to see or who disregard basic standards of behaviour.
For this reason, local residents have asked us not to disclose the exact locations where we film anymore. We want to respect their wishes and help protect these places from being vandalized or overwhelmed by tourism.

Switzerland is a very beautiful country, and if you visit, we hope that you will treat it with the same respect that we do ourselves. This means, for example:
- Please do not enter houses, gardens, farms, or other private property without permission.
- Please do not climb over fences or barriers in order to get a better photo.
- Please do not use private gardens, fields, or public spaces as toilets. Public toilets are available, and there are apps that can help you find them. Please leave them clean for the next person.
- Please take your rubbish with you or put it in a proper bin. Do not leave plastic bottles, food packaging, tissues, or other waste behind. Waste can be harmful or even fatal to cows.
- Please do not walk through private gardens or agricultural land simply because they look like beautiful photo locations.
- Please remember that the people you see in these villages are not actors or part of a tourist attraction. They live and work there.
- Please respect signs, fences, private property, and the privacy of local residents.
These may seem like obvious things to many people, but unfortunately, we have personally heard of situations in Lauterbrunnen where these basic rules were not respected.

Until now, we often described where our footage was filmed because we wanted to share these beautiful locations with viewers who might want to visit them themselves. Unfortunately, we can no longer do this.
We hope you will understand why, and we ask everyone who visits Switzerland to help us keep these places beautiful, peaceful, and respectful places for the people who actually live there.
With best wishes and all the best,
Classical Music and Nature Team
