Sydney — Batman made a dramatic appearance atop Australia’s Sydney Opera House during a weekend celebration marking Batman Day.

The stunt attracted a large crowd to the landmark on Saturday evening, with the giant Batman display appearing at around 6 p.m. The event was part of the annual Batman Day celebrations, which are generally held on the third Saturday of September.

Batman Day events around the world included special movie screenings and activities at comic shops.

The Sydney appearance comes as “Batman 2” remains in production in London. The sequel is scheduled to be released in February 2028, with Robert Pattinson returning as the Dark Knight.

Pattinson recently said that filming the action-heavy sequel has been physically demanding, while describing the project as enjoyable and praising its cast.
