Melbourne — Celine Dion, Chris Martin and Keith Urban were among the major performers who honored Australian music legend John Farnham during a special tribute concert in Melbourne on Sunday.

“The Songs of John Farnham: A Living Legend – The Celebration Concert” took place at a sold-out Rod Laver Arena, bringing together more than 120 artists and musicians from Australia and around the world.

Farnham was unable to attend the concert because of his declining health. Dion joined the event through a live simulcast from Paris, where she performed Farnham’s signature song “You’re the Voice” alongside four pipers inside the Melbourne venue.

Dion had previously performed the song with Farnham during her 2018 concert in Melbourne.

The tribute concert brought together a wide range of performers to celebrate Farnham’s decades-long career and his lasting influence on Australian music.
