Pet of the Week: He’s ‘Jet’ black

Nine lives? Jet definitely has all that — and more.

This gorgeous jet-black cat has a dash of white under his chin, as if an angel had kissed him there. However, the angels at Ahimsa Haven Animal Rescue are the ones to thank.

When he arrived at the shelter last spring he was wary of all humans. The world was overwhelming to him, but with time, love, patience and the company of other cats, volunteers report that he’s discovered that “attention is actually kind of wonderful, and rolling over is my way of showing just how comfortable and confident he’s become.”

Jet’s tail was injured when he arrived, and he’s doing just fine after his amputation. In fact, volunteers report he has “the cutest little bum instead” that makes him even more adorable. He’s good with cats, not so much with children or dogs. Because he has had such a long and winding road to travel, kind souls have sponsored his adoption fee. Find out more at Ahimsahaven.org.
